first game screenshot in very very early stages of development. spent last night tweaking my battle ui to get the character info displayed in a classic way

next, im planning on positioning them on the screen properly and changing the enemy's stuff a little bit, also im undecided about showing the enemy's info or not..



ps, the battles atm run on auto-pilot, they take no player input at all, that means the left team and the right team are fighting each other automatically. next step is to let the player control the left team. oh.. and actually work on creating all of the character models and placing them on the screen and all that

Started playing on Pokemon Showdown. Much better than the old ShoddyBattle simulator from the Diamond/Pearl days.

Found this point of interest regarding Fire Emblem Awakening:

Galeforce - Fire Emblem Awakening Wiki Guide - IGN

Galeforce is a passive ability that allows you to move twice in the same turn if you defeat an enemy, not unlike the Animal Leg ability in SMT: Devil Survivor. Seems any unit that can rank up to Dark Flier can learn it, but Jaffar from the first wave of Spotpass teams also has it by default and so long as Chrom doesn't marry Sully, any child he as his wife have can also learn it provided mom was a Dark Flier, anyway.

I did decide mulligan that fight where I lost Vaike. He's really the only axe man I have. I have decided whoever I lose past 15 I'll let remain dead because there does come a point in Fire Emblem games where the battles are so long and so drawn out accepting a death is necessary. I'm not going to accept it on a DLC map, though. Those are for grinding,

I'm on my second run through Fire Emblem, and Galeforce is one of the best skills in the game to pass down to the kids. My only loss thus far in either playthrough (because I fucking hate losing people) was one of the kids I made into a Dark Knight, at the last second of the last level, and I think I can live with that.

Picked up where I left off on Pokemon Black 2. I find I'm still having trouble transitioning into more current-generation Pokemon. The latest generation I have in my current setup is Gallade. I tried a Chandelure for a bit, but I think I'm going to try finding a new one. The one I had on my team had a lousy Nature, which I kind of ignored until I just decided I want to make something I can take into Wifi battles. -Attack +Defense. Bah...

Also, trying to locate some of my old GBA games. I can't seem to find them though. I hope I didn't toss them...

A friend got me (and himself) a copy of Dead Space 3, and so we're having a blast in co-op. Honestly, it's way more fun. Maybe not *as* scary as it might be solo, but still pretty tense (even more so honestly in some situations) and yeah we're only about midway into chapter 4 and loving it.

I got my first Street Pass battle in Fire Emblem Awakening today. I wiped the floor with the team since he wasn't worth paying to recruit. Now I have new peon to send out to die. Hopefully I can pick up a few more if I get around town this week.

Started playing on Pokemon Showdown. Much better than the old ShoddyBattle simulator from the Diamond/Pearl days.

I usually used Pokemon Online because Wi-Fi for Gen IV and V is still full of hackers. Showdown looks interesting and I will have to check it out.

EDIT: You need to allow cookies to save teams on Showdown? That kind of sucks. Nothing seems to be saved servers side.

Correct, but you can export your team(s) to plain text files. Just Dropbox/Google Drive them. Showdown's technically still in beta, though it's quite functional for Gen 5 single battles (no doubles or triples support yet.) Another bonus is that it's open source, so I was able to set up my a Showdown server on the laptop I use as my Minecraft server (and my friends can still use the teams they made on the official server.)

Dead Space 3 lost my interest. The Impossible difficulty is a joke and weapon customization is uninteresting. Even so, I applaud the game for including cooperative play.

Just finished DmC. I was very let down by the bad acting and the amount of plot holes left open. It left a lot of questions.

-Why does Mundus appear in DMC 1
-Why was Vergil never mentioned in DMC 1
-Why did Dante even pair with Vergil?

Among other things, it left out a lot of stuff that made no sense to me. DMC 1 was where I began. This new DmC seemed to be a "What if" storyline if anything, did anyone else get that vibe? I'll wait for someone to go "Oh well Melody if you...paid attention to x and y." Type deal.

btw playing DP3 right now and......yeah still good so far ;p not really "scarey" anymore, but the enemies still make me panic sometimes ;p
