I'm not saying you're wrong, you're right about the VCR thing and the motives for the redesign. I'm just saying that Nintendo has always tested their products for physical abuse, and the NES was probably no exception.

Hahah, I did the same thing too on my 1st run.

Also made me glad I didn't decide to do "Mostly Flesh & Steel" on my Clean Hands run. Honestly, aside from the tall boys, it's pretty easy to just hack and slash your way through everything (though I still prefer to at least attempt stealth here & there for the sake of expediency)

Nintendo translated the Iwata Asks for Style Savvy Trendsetters and how that was developed. Its a pretty fun read:

This isn't a gaming news blog thread, bbq. If it relates to something you're playing, fine, but let's keep the cross-topic contamination down.

We'll just have to quarantine him then.

He has the deadly motaba virus after all.

I don't see the problem. I posted about playing the demo about two weeks ago

I didn't feel the need to make a new thread, so I just thought I would share since it had some interest to a few people. Its not like I came in here all mew mew proclaiming it the best thing aver. Why is this magically a problem?

                  ---------------------

Almost done with Dishonored, well... kinda. I still have that perfect stealth/high stabbity run to do and maybe a run-and-gun run as well just so I can kill tallboys.

Debating if I can really have the funds ready for a Wii U. Poor planning is at fault, but so is other life-related things. I may have to scale back and get the 3DS and 360 stuff I want instead and just wait for a Wii U closer to March when Monster Hunter Ultimate launches. There are plenty of Wii U games I want in the first six months of release, but I dunno if it quite oustrips all the things I want for 3DS or 360 right now. I clearly can't get everything either way, but I'd like Epic Mickey, Adventure Time, Style Savvy and Halo 4.

There's very little consistency there, I just realized.

Epic Mickey 3DS is a Metroidvania and a spiritual sequel to Castle of Illusion.
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King Why did you Steal our garbage is a Zelda II tribute in its own weird way.
Style Savvvy I already talked about.
Halo 4 because I need a Metroid Prime-ish fix and its really emitting that aesthetic.
Also Paper Mario and some eShop games.

Maybe also Borderlands 2 since its something everyone I know is playing. Or Pokemon b/w2.

BBQ, are you seriously telling us you're going to spend actual cash money on a game revolving around fashion?

No wonder the quality of games is going downhill. /non sequitur

I don't think you know how much time I spend creating characters for Skyrim, Dragon Age and Phantasy Star. Or how much time I spent collecting vanity gear in DCUO rather than actually playing it. Or how much time I did this with my COR, RNG and SCH. The Errant Houppleande was the bane if my SCH's existence, BTW. I understood the value of having gear macros for min-maxing, but it didn't mean I didn't have a fashion macro. At least I had the dignity not to wear event and wedding gear to parties, unlike some people.

And you do realize retail and business sims have been around since the Apple II and earlier, right? They're enjoying a resurgence of sorts thanks to the downloadable market, if Reccetear and games like this are any indication. I'm actually bummed the blacksmithing shop game from Guild 01 wasn't announced for the US and EU, at least not yet. I don't see the problem of a game like this, particularly considering it feels like something someone that might get Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing might buy.

Or are those also games sending the industry down the toilet? I'm more inclined to think RE6 and the dudebro shooter of the month were that, along with people that support the online pass and season pass scheme. They've not saved one developer job yet, that's for sure.

There's a big difference between making your avatar look good while playing a game, and having an entire game revolving around making your avatar look good.

Also, you need to look up the definition of non sequitur.

Why look up what I already know? It means one idea doesn't follow the other. Like a plumber eating mushrooms to grow large or a covert agent eating glowing mushrooms to recharge his batterinies. Or waiting your turn to shoot an alien thats trying to kill you.

Or maybe I'm a lifeguard on a beach on a beautiful summer day and a Giant Milla Jovovich nonchalantly wades down the shoreline, tipping over boats and knocking over surfers and not caring one whit about it. She then turns and walks to the city and not long after a pizza delivery car pulls up next to my chair. I come down and pay the pizza delivery panda three boxes of chalk of my pizza and he eats them, nods, gets back in the car and drives off. I open my pizza box and its got my candadian bacon, pineapple and those little paste-on eyes we used in grade school.

That was a dream I had recently, full of non-sequitur - I blame it on video games. I even blogged about it the other day since it seemed it good source material for a Playstation ad. Better than what they just put out recently, anyway.

Before you brought this it up I believe we were all posting about video games in one fashion or another, which is generally considered on-topic. I don't see what I disrupted.

It never really had great controls. Dreamcast didn't even have dual analog, so camera control is actually a new feature. Well, you just had o mash L or R to reset the camera back then. Its a good game if you give it some time, but like most DC games of its era its under the "fun by flawed" category.

Dishonored is not giving up my Clean Hands achievement for some reason. I killed no one, it said so in each mission log I had. Where's my cheevo?

The review I heard said the camera controls were a little wonky.

More importantly is the game any good? I want to give it a try but if it's crap I'd rather not drop money on it.
