You know you can accomplish the same thing in other games by just ignoring achievements, right? Why would you go out of your way to do something in a game that you find frustrating? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
I like achievement hunting, gets more mileage out of games and provides a (usually) fun and interesting set of rules to go by. I just don't care for max-difficulty related ones as most devs are lazy and simply crank up enemy HP & Damage (unlike the MGS series where they actually improve the AI - to the point it's frightening).
I've got a rather tight schedule at the moment however so I'm just enjoying the game on easy with minimal AI for stealthing lol.

So you want the reputation without the challenge of earning it. So I guess Barbie's Horse Adventures is on the achievement list as well??
Even with the difficulty achievement off the table there's still the achievement for not using any magic or upgrades but Blink. Also no detection, no kills. four crossbow kills in a second, take on five men at once. So the Achievement list does have some difficulty to it,

If you only care about fun and mileage why would you complain about achievements you don't like? You can just skip them, since they're not fun. Are you sure you're not a completionist?

I think he's just in denial. This isn't the first time he's let slip that he's gunning for achievements for the sake of having achievements rather than just playing a game because he enjoys it.

He's a closet completionist. Pay no heed to his protests of innocence.
I'm an unabashed completionist when it comes to games I really enjoy, but I don't go out of my way to earn trophies/achievements just to bump up my total, and there are strict limits to the amount of stupidity I'll endure even for trophies in games that I like. Right now I'm slowly plugging away at Impossible difficulty on X-Com: Enemy Unknown, for instance, but that's because I like the game a lot, not just because I want the trophy for it.
I never said I wasn't a completionist - I'm just very selective about it.
I do think that difficulty achievements are annoying as all hell however, and that MP achievements really need to be put in their own separate category - I hate not being able to finish a game for the platinum/full gamerscore because of a few nagging multiplayer ones (Like getting a perfection in a match of Slayer in Halo 3)
All that aside: The Heart is seriously f'ing disturbing in Dishonored. I'm in the Golden Cat now ^^
Ah, finally found a good control scheme for Dishonored. Option D turns out to be almost exactly the setup you have for powers, attacking, running and blocking in Skyrim.
I never understood why anyone thought analog clicks were a good idea for running. Especially pressing and holding to analog click to run in Battlefield, that's like asking to wear out a controller
Hey Mal that added achievements to Pokemon Black/White 2.
Sure they are progression based "cheeves" you will get during a play through but still!
So...on that note...how is Pokemon Black/White 2? I was considering getting it, but Epic Mickey for 3DS is just on the horizon and I still have hardly touched Resonance of Fate yet. And I've always been kind of a one-game-at-a-time person.
It's basically what you would expect from a pokemon game really. Great multiplayer, lots of fun minigames and the game actually has a plot that follows on from B/W1. You can also import your B/W1 save to see multiple new events that tie into the original game.
Still playing X-Com on Impossible. Berserkers with 25HP when your weapons do about 5 damage per hit are pretty scary. And screw enemies that can mind-control your troops :/

Eh, works fine for me. And it only seems to wear down 360 controllers - my dual shocks are all just fine. STOP MAKING CHEAP CRAP MICROSOFT!!!
I'm on the last level now. I'll write up an in-depth review afterwards (the game has several flaws that range from slightly annoying to really pissing me off, this I give it an 8.5~9/10)
Pro Tip: In Mission 7, a lot of people have issues with going for a clean hands + ghost where you have to lift the key off Granny Rags. You can not use sleep bolts on her because of a stupid glitch (why they didn't patch this is beyond me but whatever) that makes her disappear and then it counts as a kill.
However, I manged to do it just fine using Bend Time level 2 - although having this means you won't be getting "Mostly Flesh and Steel" which seems to be one most people go for in the stealthy playthrough as well (I personally said F that outright because I wanted to try out all the cool powers that make stealth easier.)
On that note, I picked up Blink 2 right away, however Dark Vision is ridiculously OP for just 1 rune.
It's not really a spoiler (would have been if I'd said what/why the character is doing there), and the problem in question is only even an issue if you do at least 1 of her sidequests.
beat the game, now for my High Chaos run (EVERYBODY DIES DAMN IT!!! )
Though I'm gonna have doing this alongside "Mostly Flesh & Steel" Which I had intended for a 3rd run doing stealth, but lethal (because stealth + nonlethal is pain in the ass in this game, unlike in Deus Ex where you're rewarded for being merciful via more EXP - especially since the ash enhancement means no 1 will ever find the bodies)
