Yeah, right? When I was first going through the slums on Omega and the various characters were describing him as some obsessive doctor who sets up attack droids outside his clinic, I thought it was going to be some unbalanced, crazy old man. What I found was much more awesome than that.

OK, I have gotten past the "people totally kick the crap out of me" phase of P4A, much thanks to the 360 lag issues getting patched in a very timely mannter, but I may need to look into a fighter stick if I want to actually do much better than I am. Or scare up a good fighter pad for 360. The inputs aren't as complicated as some fighters make them to be, in fact, there's very little variation in inputs between characters, with some charge moves being an exception for some characters.

I thought he was just goofy at first, but he grows on you almost instantly... Mordin is just such a good character. The whole cast of ME2 is pretty great really, it's a shame that you don't get to use any of them again in ME3... they kind of make up for that with a certain special guy who shall remain unamed for spoiler reasons, but even still, the ME2 cast was just great.

Except maybe Grunt. While he's great in combat, I liked Wrex better personality wise. I have no opinion on Kasumi yet since I don't have the DLC (though I've got 440 points left over form buying Shadow Broker, I just don't feel it's worth it.)

Kasumi's not bad. As far as personality goes, she's basically a smug rogue type of character. She doesn't get worked up about situations. In her DLC loyalty mission, she is generally good-humored. And, in battle, as far as I can tell, she seems to sneak up on enemies invisible and beats them up close. So she's kind of nice for those situations where you have so many enemies firing at you that you can't really get out of cover to get a shot in, since she'll do hit & runs on the enemy to soften their numbers a bit.

Her loyalty power is ridiculous, going on what I've read... fast recast (for shepard), fairly lengthy stun and it works on both organics and synthetics.

Right now I'm at odds though on my insanity soldier run (Paragon) - Not sure if Squad or Heavy Warp Ammo is better. I'm using Miranda and Grunt for the majority of the game, but for the final encounter I'm going to leave Grunt behind to help defend because he has a high def rating (plus there's lots of good cover) so I'm somewhat leaning on Legion or Tali (probably Legion because of the Widow Sniper and his loyalty power will keep him alive) so then that begs the question, is the +35% across all 3 best or just 50% on me? I have heightened AR for the 70% bullet time and I'm generally the DPS character in my party.

50% on you. For the most part, you'll just be using your squad for their powers and something to distract the enemy with.

Then again, I always play Infiltrator so I could just be bias...

I still say screw Heavy Warp Ammo and just go with Dominate. Soldier already does plenty of damage, it doesn't really need the extra boost.

Ok, I take it back. Yunica does not play like Adol at all. She may have the same basic controls but her range is awful, her Axe melee attacks are freaking weak, her Greatsword is even worse and her magic is useless. Not to mention her defensive skills are non-existent.

She is the worst knight in the History of Ys, and I'm glad I started as Hugo or I would've given up playing the game even though it's still pretty damn good otherwise.

Update: Still playing Ys O but decided to play with the character you unlock after finishing the game. To my surprise he actually has a complete story probably bigger than the other two characters and with new Boss fights, and has more details that connect with Ys' future. His skills are awesome and his attacks are fast, very fast.

About Yunica all I can say is that all her appeal was completely lost in the translation and localization. Leaving a bad character (gameplay-wise) with an unlikable personality that does not reflect her actual kawaiiness from the JP version for obvious reasons. I'm still going to finish the game with her to finish her side of the story, but only until I have nothing else left to do in the game. <_<;

Mass Effect 2 stuff

Did Shadow Broker missions. Nice storytelling there. Enjoyed the boss fight with the Asari who warps around.

And the Project Overlord missions, which were even nicer.

Did Loyalty missions for almost all of my squad, except the mercenary guy whose name begins with F because I disliked him from the get-go. So I got most Loyalties except Miranda...who I have lost good graces with because I sided with Jack in that argument because I kinda, y'know, thought she was right. Pity, because I actually like Miranda more. Less rough around the edges.

You don't have to keep Morinth. Just do Samara's loyalty mission, save before the end and pick Morinth once and it will permanently unlock Dominate as a bonus power, then just reload your save and go about your business.

Earned my Platinum trophy on Sound Shapes for PS Vita. Really like the game, but the trophies are some of the most random things I've come across in a while. Quite a few of the trophies are luck-based depending on where things randomly spawn on a given level. Fortunately restarting is quick and easy, but still...

Also 70% of the way through story mode in Persona 4 Arena. I'd better hurry because Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs (and yikes, now that I come to think of it, The Last Story) all come out on Tuesday?

The Miranda/Grunt team works very, very well (though both their AI can be retarded at times, especially Grunt when he decides to charge in and melee). I'm leaving Concussive Shot for my last power to max after Disruptor Ammo (Cryo is useless and Incindiary is redundant with Warp).

Nope, you get her bonus power and loyalty when you choose her at the end of Samara's mission.

Well, I've managed pretty well so far using Squad Warp Ammo. Grunt does occasionally get frisky when enemies close with him (unlike Wrex), but that just gives him a little more character, and he's got the toughness to survive those little escapades in any case. That and his charge does a metric ton of damage.

Incendiary Ammo is nearly as good as Warp Ammo (hence why I consider Dominate to be a much better pick). Concussive Shot is pretty much a waste of time, it doesn't matter how much you spend on it to be quite honest, since all powers are on the same cooldown timer in ME2 and ME3.

I'm hating myself somewhat for caving in, but at least the content is proving enjoyable so far - Kasumi is a great character, personality and combat wise. It's too bad I had to go with her Deadly Strike over Rapid since I'm on insanity - I can only imagine what a rolfstomping machine she must be on Casual with rapid + her level 4 passive, letting her basically spam the ability.

She has a bad tendency to NOT go back into cover after using it though.

Also, YMIR mechs can DIAF (literally, lol... brings new meaning to "BOOM! HEADSHOT!")

Warp Ammo IS very good for that reason, but it's not a huge upgrade if you already have Squad Incendiary ammo. The damage differential is small, and you should seriously consider taking Dominate with you into the final battle; on the whole it will help you much, much more on some of the more aggravating parts.
