Playing a little more of P4A online. My connection isn't so hot so I've been doing ranked matches which seem more ideal for connection speed matching anyway. I'm having a good time of it so far, Still maining Elizabeth for now. She's a little bit Magneto and a little bit Trish, were I to put it in UMVC3 terms, except like Magneto her melee range is rather short.

The funny thing is that while she's best mid-to-long range, people never seem to expect you to go for an All-Out Attack and wail on them with that book.

Her air game is rather limited but what's there is enough to stymie aerial characters like Youske, but Naoto can be a real troublemaker since she's also a ranged character with some nasty status ailments that can silence your persona summoning skills so when she pulls that super you have to go air or rush her.

Haven't been able to trick anyone into Liz's instant kill, Megidolaon, but its my favorite one so far.

Oh did you hear they are finally getting ready to make P5?

They broke Biotics again in ME3 too. Power cooldowns depend on the weight of gear you carry and fully upgraded the starting rifle is as light as a pistol.

For that reason Vanguards and Adepts are ridiculously powerful in multiplayer to the point where pretty much all of the gold difficulty missions are 1-3 Adepts/Vanguards and an Infiltrator or Engineer.

Vanguard = Equip only the starting rifle with weight reduction mods. Spam Biotic Charge and Nova ad nauseum. Only an unlucky grenade can really harm you since if a capped Nova hits someone, it will completely refill your biotic barrier.
Adept = Equip a pistol and spam biotics everywhere.
Asari Asept (MP onry) = lolSingularity.
I mean that biotics SUCK in ME2... especially on the harder modes where every mob has some kind of protection. I mean can understand shields/armor/etc protecting from any sort of directed attack like gunfire, but how the crap does that prevent Pull from lifting you into the air? Don't really see how a Kinectic barrier stops fire either - it's called a kinetic barrier BECAUSE IT STOPS KINETIC IMPACTS!!! THERE'S NO KINETIC ENERGY BEHIND A GOD DAMNED OPEN FLAME!!! @_@

gg Bioware. Also, how do you get Nova? It's not a skill in ME2, and I read that if you transfer from ME2 to ME3, the skill choices you make in 2 are locked in and so they're automatically distributed in 3 (unless you use the workaround of loading your ME2 file, resetting your skills and then saving without spending points) and I never saw that skill on Vanguard's list in ME2.

Got a Meowjesty Dream Eater in Kingdom Hearts 3D. Thought I'd do something tacky like name it Chairman Meow...which would totally be my next cat's name if I ever got one. But there wasn't enough room so I went with Meow Zedong instead.

I hear a lot of things supposedly about Persona 5, but i doubt we'll actually hear or see anything of it til TGS this year.

Given Atlus and their current way of releasing games, I don't really see P5 being a console game. They've spent the last three years or so building the brand on PSP and Vita - the full series is now on Sony handhelds (sans P2 Eternal Punishment on PSP in the west, anyway) - and they've put the last two main series SMT entries on DS and 3DS.

P4A being a console game and multiplatform makes a great deal of sense as that's where the fighting community is and where 2D fighters are best played. Catherine was a fun ride but I don't see the sense in making your first in-house console RPG so late in the generation. Granted Atlus did release PS2 games until early 2009, but still, its better just to focus on Vita and 3DS post-P4A, I would think.

If it does come to console, i sincerely doubt it will be Sony exclusive, at any rate.

heheh, I will be going to my "local" (no so local, but closest I am going to get) retro store during my work route tomorrow.... and he is holding about 8 NES games for me, including Battletoads! woo, finally get myself a copy ;p Playing that bad boy as soon as I get home tomorrow.

They did, but that's all they said. Right now I want Atlus USA getting out Persona 2 Eternal Punishment for PSP, Soul Hackers and Etrian Odyssey IV for 3DS. We don't know when SMT IV is coming to 3DS, just that its coming. We might get more specifics on that when Soul Hackers ships in Japan this month. I expect a Soul Hackers US announcement by sometime in September.

I just don't expect much real news on Persona 5 anytime soon and they can take their sweet time with it. I love Persona, I just like main series SMT more.

Fire/Ice are awful in ME2, but Biotics aren't "totally" wrecked.

Biotic Charge is pretty good when paired with a Claymore shotgun, and you could write a book on how broken Singularity is in ME2. Strip away one enemy's defenses, have Singularity lift him into the air, and Throw or Warp him to detonate... which damages everyone else nearby, making them vulnerable to Singularity... rinse repeat. Note that high level Singularity slows enemies down drastically if they try to move through it, so you have all day to pick their defenses apart as they try to move past the bubble.

Nova is new in ME3. It's kinda sucky until you upgrade it fully.

Eh it's nowhere near as broken as Snipers Cloak. it's the closest thing to an "I win" butto nthe game has.

                    Why?

Using it causes ALL enemies to instantly forget about your presence while it's up and the sneak attack and headshot damage stacks with any weapon including shotguns and rocket launchers.

ME3 fixes it though. Aside from some VERY good enemy AI, the AI also attacks your last known area and any areas you could have slipped away to. I've cloaked in an area with just one exit and seen the AI literally spam the only escape with grenades and gunfire. I've also had the AI try and flush me out of a position like that plenty of times

Sony having 'a difficult time' getting PS Vita support -Destructoid

Hey folks, don't worry, Assassin's Creed and CoD will save the day! And then Vita won't have games again for a while.

I really think I'll only be picking up Persona 4 Golden just to have it. I doubt even by late October I can invest in Vita and it be worth the investment. Sony has pretty much refused to address the issues and is just doing what they did with the PS3 in reverse - deny you compatibility in the first place, starve you for content so when they trickle out any good content you already own you'll thank god it happened.

Hmm, I've only played Vanguard & now Soldier so far (I started my insanity run last night, Got shadow broker and I'm 120 MSP short of buying Kasumi or Arrival, not sure if I wanna add the points for $7.50 or not to get it.)

I'm using the standard recommendations and it's working pretty well thus far (I took Warp Ammo as my bonus perk) though I'm unsure of how to allocate my skills this time around. Cryo ammo is undoubtedly the most worthless, piece of shit skill in the game and I really wish I hadn't wasted points on it with my vanguard (I'm going to retrain that shit). However, I'm strongly leaning on having Miranda and either Garrus or Jacob in my final squad (since I don't have Kasumi and while I love Zaeed, Garrus is just a boss for dps) but I'm unsure of how to max their powers - AoE or tubromode? For Garrus this is a no brainer, at least for his loyalty power (really wish his mission didn't come so late into the game) as I definitely want AP ammo for the final encounter, and vs armored enemies in general (or is that a waste with lv 4 Warp Ammo?) but Miranda, idk... AoE Overloard & Warp seem like they'd be handy, especially during the suicide mission. But enemies are so much tougher on insanity so there's an argument for increased individual strength...

Finished Ys O with Hugo and started playing with Yunica. She plays almost exactly like Adol so far, and she may even be his ancestor.

Warp Ammo is good, but Stasis and Dominate are better. Dominate is especially amazing at the end of the game, as you can use enslaved enemies to distract and damage Harbinger and take a LOT of heat off of your teammates.

AP ammo is garbage in ME2. Warp Ammo is just flat out better, and as I mention above, Dominate is better than both of those, if you've managed to recruit Morinth at some point in time.

Don't let that get you down. Mordin's involvement in ME3 is probably the best written story arc in the game.
