People who beaten it have said it takes about 30-45 minutes to complete, depending on what level you get Valk. Lightning. In terms of plot, it explains why Lightning is in Crystal statis. It does nothing to resolve Serah's death or Valhalla taking over pulse. With no more DLC, 13-3 is the most probable option with Lightning as the main protagonist again

After Serah and Noel's first battle against Caius in Valhalla, they are consumed in a wave of darkness and sent falling into an abyss of light, but Lightning appears and saves them, urging them to keep hope alive before vanishing again. As Serah and Noel's final battle against Caius commences, Lightning battles a past variation of Caius in another timeline. However, seeing a vision of Serah's death, a shocked Lightning was subdued by Caius before the Chaos consumes her. Coming to, Lightning finds Serah surrounded by Chaos, manipulated by Yuel's spirit, that forms into a manifestation of Caius that she proceeds to battle.
Soon after dispatching her opponent, Lightning demands Serah back before being made to realize that her actions are the reason for her sister's death. Mourning over Serah's body, Lightning sees Serah's spirit on Etro's throne. Telling her not to cry and revealing she knew that would die, Serah tells Lightning that she must not give up hope and tells to remember. Intending to set things right for her sister, and to ensure that Serah's memory lives on, Lightning sits on Etro's throne and enters Crystal Stasis as Gran Pulse is consumed in chaos. In a cutscene after Lightning's Episode's credits, she is seen walking around the Dying World, mentioning that she will reawaken one day.
