Yeah, I might pick up Spirit Camera, though i do wonder how far the AR elements can go. My roommate already thinks there's a ghost in his room or something so maybe I won't show it off to him >.>

Odd they didn't just call it Fatal Frame, though, you'd think they'd do that to help sell it.

Started up DXHR again. All that Blade Runnery OSTing in Mass Effect drove me to it. Well, that and it has actual stealth, lets me hack things and explore - three things Mass Effect 3 wasn't all that great at or just didn't have. I really hope Eidos Montreal is unveiling Thief 4 soon. They've been on it for like four years now and haven't shown a thing.

I'm rather curious about Thi4f myself.

DXHR has thus far been my favorite western RPG by miles. Really looking forward to the new hitman as well.

I just hope the next DX isn't more than a couple years away (Christ we've only had 3, I can settle on new one every 2 or 3 years tops) and has more options for upgrades & more meaningful decision making. I really hated how my actions didn't really change the story at all, or how others interacted with me. It generally boiled down to "If you pass the dialogue check, you're good to go. If you screw up, you're gonna have to stealth or fight your way in." That, and you never, EVER get to kill Pritchard. Oh how I wanted to murder him, way more than any of the actual villains. Why does that douche bag get to live?

Still waiting for my local place to pick up Resident Evil. Seems for some god damned reason, the one spot that's local to me for renting games is literally the only one getting everything late. The guy said it was a week, but then the same idiot tool also said Silent Hill wasn't coming and it came in like a day or 2 later so I'll check when I get up or on Thursday.

Woulda liked to have had some online Zombie fun for my B-day though, bastards.

"Meaningful" decision-making does happen, but it is very, very, very difficult to make a non-linear story-driven game and have influence on how that story changes. The limits are not in the game design, but in the fact that not every idea a player has in their heads will be realized by the writer. If you're expecting dialog branches to change where a story goes, you're always going to be disappointed. All my choice in Mass Effect from the first to the third took me down similar paths with flavored difference in narrative and the same, exact endgame

The only series I've really see change the endgame based on your choices is the SMT series, but even that endgame bears some similarities and character confrontations, prior to that the journey up to the end it s relatively the same with a dialog branch choice here and there.

In the first two DX games, could could change who the final boss or endgame was, but it wasn't that grandiose - you either killed someone or hit a button. DXHR, you fought your way to some buttons The difference with DX is that depending on actual actions you take entire gameplay scenarios could change.

From what I understand the Thief 4 team is separate from the DXHR team, so its likely the DXHR team is working on the sequel or planning for it now.

Its best to make sure your the right "class" of officer as the deffiant is only availiable to tactical officers as a captain likewise the cruiser I have is for an engineering officer which is what my character specialises in. I think you can pay to have the class changed but I doubt it would be cheap!

Actually my first AC ever, so that's probably why I'm not finding the controls as hard as some people. Still, that doesn't help my ignorance. I know the mechanics by now, and I know the lingo...

But I haven't a clue what to build toward! So far I'm just using the first AC template and upgrading him from there. Dual BR, nice balance with booster speed, AP, and output energy... but I dunno. Doesn't feel "me". I like speed with wall jumping, so I guess I should start from there.

Fun overall! Have a team already and we've got two territories captured. Hope to see a boss battle eventually.

Did they un-fuck energy weapons, or do they still cost money to refuel after missions now? That was a major peeve of mine in the last game, as it defeats the purpose of equipping them.

Just beat Journey. I still feel like I got ripped off at $15, the game barely lasted 2 hours. But it was fun and that's what matters I guess - but really, $5 for that would have been perfect - 10 tops. No way they can justify the $15 tag - I feel like I got a lot more out of flower than this game.

Hoping that my local store picks up RE: ORC tomorrow so I can try it finally, though from everything I've read Slant 6 really fucked up bad.

Don't do it! It's not a $60 game by any shot.

I feel ripped off to be honest. It was fun, but definitely not $60 worth of fun.

They could have done so much better with Resident Evil, but in the end I was disappointed. Now I'm going to go get AC V.
