Simply put, it's bullshit. PC version also has a conquest map for 64 vs 64 with Vehicles. Gonna try that out tomorrow.

I'm still trying to set up a gamepad as I fucking hate using KB & Mouse for FPS.

So far, this game is crazy. I know I missed stuff in the intro, but I've been fooling around in the starting area and it's rough but doable. Just the way I like it.

Yeah... I"m pretty happy with Dark Souls so far. And the intro... actually tells a story. It's pretty decent and very pretty. Played proly a bit too much last night. I got my ass handed to me so much. Just in the starting area there are places idk how to get to and I don't think you can go back once you've left. All in all... I'd proly say it's one of the prettiest games I've played.

The one thing that left me frustrated was the locked door during the intro, and the hawk girl. Based on the layout of the first hall after exiting the prison cell, it seems we'll end up wandering through that area again, but I hate leaving stuff behind. The digital guide wasn't any help either, it didn't mention the item at all. It did mention that perhaps one of the starting classes has what the hawk girl wants, something warm and soft, but I didn't bother checking each one for it.

LOL... I never even found a Hawk Girl... I was so star-struck by how pretty it was and so intent on not getting gacked in the first hallway, that I even missed the lumbering Demon on the other side of the prison bars for the first few times I traversed the hallway. When I encountered the fatty demon for the first time, I attempted to fight it several times cuz I didn't see that stupid door, LMAO. That stupid ball that is rolled down stairs still got me even when I knew was there on my 2nd playthru. I can't wait to see in what dastardly ways I die tonight.

Dark Souls is pretty amazing so far.

Replayed the beginning with a Thief class and chose the Pendant. Found the 'hawk girl'. Explored with a fine toothed comb everywhere in that area. I'm pretty sure we're coming back to there at some time cuz I couldn't find a way to get a certain treasure near the knight who sets you off on 'the quest'. And the Master Key doesn't open the locked door either.

I have expanded around the shrine a bit. I've discovered the usefulness of sacrifice. Like the cemetary. F that place. I got everything I could readily see out of there by luring the skellies into chasing me, looting their shit, and then running back to a safe area to be killed so my souls wouldn't be lost. Did the same thing to the first Black Knight(?) I encountered to get the treasure they were guarding. Found an undead dragon... that thing was cool. Got some pretty choice gear from that thing too. Bull demon was pretty frightening. I'm loving that drop-attack tho.

I'm not liking that to leave comments I have to spend souls. I'm not into trickery. Yet I appreciate others have to spend souls to trick me, lol.

I never understood cuz I don't have any friends that have a PS3 let alone Demon's Souls how to play with others... and now I really want to figure it out for Dark Souls so I can talk my friends into getting this game and playing together. Anyone have any useful info. Last thing I did last night was find some guy worshipping the sun that has to do with this but it was really late and I don't remember what he said or if he gave me anything. What I found online was pretty generic and didn't give me much. I didn't look too hard cuz I'd like to stay away from exploration spoilers. Can you play with someone you know or is it total chance that matches random people up? How do you do this either way.

Also... such a pretty game.

To play with others you must be recruiting into their game or invade their game.

Oh, there's a knight you speak with, of the Sun, who after several attempts will eventually give you the white stone necessary for laying down your soul sign. This will cause your soul sign to appear in that exact spot in others' games. It is possible for your friend to see this and recruit you into their game, as was common in Demon's Souls, and should be made much easier now with covenants. When you enter into a covenant, you're more likely to see soul signs from others within the same covenant.

Playing with a friend should be as easy as coordinating the location of the soul sign, but one friend must be dead to lay one down and the other alive to see it. The NPC with the stone is located just after the first boss, opposite the bridge.

Invasion has changed. There are exhaustible items that allow you to invade games that can be found throughout the game, and an inexhaustible item that's rewarded to player after they enter into a specific covenant. There's also an NPC who will summon players from their covenant to help protect her area. It's pretty neat.

Correction: Dark Souls now uses many more servers than Demon's Souls did. Your chances of meeting up with a friend are extremely slim.

Currently playing Rage. Feels like Borderlands had a head-on-collision with Fallout. Very pretty, but less open world than id Software would like you to believe.

Dark Souls is still waiting in the wings for me to finish Demon's Souls. Made some progress on that a few days ago, about halfway through the game now. Currently banging my head trying to figure out how to get past 4-2 without pulling my hair out, might just grind out some grass and just power my way past that swarm of flying monstrosities.

I beat the Gaping Dragon in Dark Souls. Solaire was completely useless, missed most of his spells and died. Whatever. The trick is definitely the tail, but the boss has a few fuck-you buttons he can press whenever he likes.

Attempting to kill a certain few bosses in the Abyss on Dark Souls. I look like a Ring Wraith from LOTR and I'm using a claymore to stab people. Aww yeah.
