Decided to go to TGS on Sunday. Anybody have recommendations on what to check out? I'm pretty much completely clueless, the only other gaming convention I've been to is FFFF06.

Depends on how things go friday night. I am too much of a poor electronic-less bastard right now to have a printer, so I'm just getting door tickets. But I'm definitely getting there early.

But really, Cosplay Pics are a total PITA; you have to get consent and have them stand up against a wall so you don't disturb or photograph anyone who doesn't want to be. There will be plenty of TGS pics on all your favorite blogs, not worth my time and hassle.

Only half true. I've already flung someone into the steel pillars at the station and had him apologize to me. I know there have been multiple occasions where I could've completely jumped the line, acted innocent, and nobody would've stopped me.

But I can't even bring my damn umbrella to TGS. Those fuckers are prepared for gaijin.

Just bought Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep yesterday. I gotta say, well worth the purchase. I was almost considering skipping class just to sit back and play this in the lobby for five hours straight.

Graphics are top-notch, they're nearly identical to KH2 aside from a few pixel issues. After installing all the data I could, I don't have any noticeable frame-rate issues whatsoever!

What's really got me hooked is the customize system, man do I love the command deck. It basically takes the best of KH2 and then kicks it up a notch by letting you level up any command separately, combing it with another maxed command - add a passive ability via synthesize item; then once you max that command, you can take it off and keep the passive ability so you use that new command in another meld! AND LEVEL IT!

One complaint I have, even in Proud (Hard) Mode, the game is way too easy - and you can't change difficulties in-game. Also, Stitch was useless during his boss battle. How dare you treat my favorite character this way!

Disgaea Infinite and Prinny aren't even worth the full price on PSP and there's very little redeeming about bringing them to PS3. I only got Prinny because of the $9.99 sale way back when, it totally is not worth $40.

And PS2 is dead now. It has like four releases this holiday and nothing worthy of notice, not to mention even all the movie cash-ins that were planned have begun to vanish as well. PS2 held out as long as it could and now with its passing we can only hope this means Wii stops getting its shitty ports.

Ok, I have a dilemma...

I got my DJMax Portable 3 for PSP. I bought the signed limited (to 1000 copies) edition. Now, do I open the game and play it or do I leave it sealed? And to top it off, there is a voucher inside that you can send in and win shit. So if only 1000 copies of this were made its extremely collectible and that means there are only 1000 vouchers for the giveaway too. Now, I checked out all the prizes and there are 495 prizes so that gives me nearly a 50% chance of winning something. AAARRRGGHH! I want to keep it sealed and collectible but I also want to open it AND send in that voucher. This is driving me mad.....

Well I found out from a friend that bought it too, there is a voucher inside the box if you won a prize. No voucher, no prize. So I guess I don't really have to open it because I can d/l it off PSN if I want or talk my friend into ripping his so I can d/l it. Either way, its staying sealed......now if I could only figure out who's signature that is on the box then the entire mystery would be solved! lol

Have been playing Tales of Symphonia a lot lately, but I got nearly to the end of the game in a little over a week and got burned out on it, so haven't touched it in a few days. And yesterday I started playing Rappelz, a F2P MMO which is surprisingly not bad.

Games I've been playing recently: barring FFXI, I've also been doing some more SMG (I'll get SMG2 soon after I 100% SMG). I'd like to finish all my Pokemon games some time soon, but some of them being missing is proving to be an obstacle to that.

Oh, I'm also looking to buy Kirby's Epic Yarn some time in the near future, too.

ADD: Ok, concerning SMG? Bigmouth Galaxy has to be one of the creepiest. Dungeons. Ever.

Back on Persona 3 Portable and Dissidia for a while. Once I complete my run on Persona 3's Female Protagonist story, I'll go back to Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Nintendo side its all 2D stuff right now:

Kirby's Epic Yarn
Bit.Trip Fate
Sonic the Hedgehog 4
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

The last two are just because Konami decided to not release a real Castlevania game this month.

Kirby is awesome, no explanation needed.

Bit.Trip Fate takes the concept of "on rails shooter" and thumbs its nose at anyone offended by the concept by really exaggerating it. Commander Video is your "ship" who literally progresses on a rail and his allies, such as Meat Boy, can become temporary power-ups.
