Demon's Souls is pissing me off, and I need to vent a little bit.

First, I've been lag killed so many times by black phantoms, but now normal enemies are doing it to me too. Several knights have attacked in a direction completely away from me, and have one-shotted me anyways. This is the first time the Penetrator has ever hit me with his super stab, and he some how did it while facing a blue phantom that managed to roll away from him. Somehow I got pulled out from beside him, to his front, then stabbed and thrown across the room. It was so much BS.

Next, after defeating him, I had enough souls on me to purchase three levels, but the game wont let me out of the next level. The fog is there as if I've summoned, or I'm being invaded, but I'm not. I quit out of the game three times and it continued to come up. So at one point, somebody does invade and they just run off. I summon two phantoms and we proceed. That epic fight finally ended when I caught him in a narrow area with firestorm towards the end of the level. No biggie, we'll just finish the whole damn thing and I'll go get my levels. Nope, the boss spams that ability that blows nearly the entire fucking boss area up, and he does it while slowly approaching us between casts. It's kind of difficult to see him, and all we hear are moans, but the next thing we know all three of us are dead.

Lastly, I'm dead back at the beginning, and I use a stone of ephemeral eyes. WHAT DO YOU KNOW THE FOG IS BACK. A minute later the SAME guy who broke in earlier breaks in again and runs off. So, I summon another two blue phantoms, and we take off. At one point the path splits, with one direction being a dead end. Well, my buddies go the right way, but I'm wondering to myself whether or not the black phantom is hiding down the other path. Well, I run down there, and he is, and my buddies are long gone. I would have fought him, but he has a fucking sword that swings in like 300 degrees, so there's literally nowhere for me to maneuver in that alley. I make a break for it and shut the whole fucking PS3 off.

Oh god, I just want my platinum trophy.

Wild Arms 4 complete after a good 11 hours of play time today.

It was very short (~21 hours) and easily the worst in the series, but still a bit enjoyable.

I move on to Makai Kingdom now. I think my PS2 is starting to wear down a bit, sometimes I have to eject and re-insert the disc a few times to get it to read them. Hopefully it survives the 13 games I have left to finish.

Finally getting around to trying out Modern Warfare 2...

The Campaign was pretty cool, but Xbox Live is shit. Oh I like the game just fine, but I have 2 major issues;

1 - Almost everyone is level 40+ and thus have better perks, kill streaks, equipment etc.

2 - I seem to keep getting bitched by cheapshots/bullcrap/luck. And no I'm not a whiny bitch who can't admit when he's be out-shot - It's freaking bullcrap that I can have a guy directly in the middle of my sights, fire my sniper riffle, and magically miss despite having targeted the assholes midsection while he's standing still and then get my head blown off about 2 seconds after I fire (the shot did go off as the killcam showed, how I missed is beyond me).

That and some people are just f'ing Ninjas, getting in the most insane/timely shots from seemingly impossible angles. Would be nice if I could get that bloody thermal scope for my 50 cal already...


Also about half the games I end up in (okay 40%) either lag horribly because the host sucks (it sure as shit isn't me my connection runs @ 9.6 mbps) or right as I get into the game it says "Connection Interrupted" at which point all I can do is spectate from some kind of broken camera for about a minute or two at which point I lose the connection to the server.

I mean F and A people,upgrade from 56k/ADSL already!!!

The levels don't mean much, and the perks are only slightly helpful. The best kill streak, by far, is supply drop, which you have by default. Just grab the FAMAS, that was my starting weapon of choice and it worked out really well. It's not so great a close range, but it's not terrible.

The thermal scope is a sniper rifle scope, and I find it doesn't mesh well with other weapons. You have to hold your breath for a decent shot, and it takes a little longer to look through it as well. Heartbeat sensor + red dot or holographic = good detection and reaction.

I know how to play the game tyvm, there's just quite a bit of BS as is the case with just about every FPS on XBL. A lot of jerk offs using the Noob Tube or Akimbo 1887 Shotgun.

Really? Noob tube? Who says that, other than noobs?

The game is so random that you can be killed by anything at any moment. I find it hard to pick any one gun out to complain about.

Ok, Godric's path in Clash of Heroes is really ticking me off. The difficulty spike from chapter 1 to chapter 2 here is a bit extreme.

First off, this guys specialty (or I guess CO Power) is a turtle defense - on that sometimes isn't even fully effective. Everyone else in the game gets offensive actions or buffs - this guy gets an extra wall. That and I face armies almost two ro three levels higher.

Anwen's path had the perfect balance, I don't know why they shot up the difficulty so much more unreasonably here. I guess the best way to put it is Godric's section of the game is like always facing a dealer with better hand of cards than you. Always, every time. The deck is always stacked against Godric unless the enemy has the same lame powers he does.

And the 1887 model is bullshit. They really need to nerf it, it has way, WAY too much range. I was aiming at a guy at least 30 feet away with my sniper and he managed to 1-shot me with them just before I fired. That is bullcrap of the highest order right there.

Yea, plus you don't even need to aim directly at the person. They're like some kind of all-encompassing explosion gun.

Yeah I have the same hatred towards Grenade Launchers as being overpowered, but I can't really blame Infinity Ward because I've found the balance of guns is reasonably realistic in terms of an FPS and well..... grenade launchers are pretty broken irl.

I guess I'm fortunate that not many people I get randomly played against use 1887's, but then again I don't use a sniper rifle... my trusty M4 does the trick. I'm a lot more of a run-and-gun person in MW, as I've found it doesn't play too nicely with snipers.

So what are your most used custom classes, DakAttack & Malacite? I'm mostly M4A1 (FMJ)/ AT4-HS/ Frag/ Flash/ Sleight of Hand (VI)/ Lightweight (IV)/ Commando Pro (done) I've found it works well no matter the map, I'm only Lv.23 atm, grinding 30 for Stinger is so painful.

Right now I'm enjoying my nomad spec. P90+Rapid Fire, Shotgun/Rocket Launcher, Frag, Flash, Marathon, Lightweight, Steady Aim. Maybe in the future I'll attach a heartbeat monitor to the P90 for better tracking. Right now, finding enemies is purely superfluous.

Every once in a while I'll snipe, with the last rifle you can unlock, with the heat scope, and either FMJ or the silencer So then it's Bling, Cold-Blooded, and Ninja.

I'll also use rifles or LMGs, on occassion.

I'm really getting behind (lol) knifing people now. I've yet to unlock the tactical knife which would really help, but I've got Commando Pro which helps a good deal. My biggest problem is I can't seem to aim the throwing knife worth a God damn.

But equipping the Riot Shield on my back with a pistol in my main hand works wonders - I can run around and get shot in the back and (some of the time) come out of it just fine. Depending on the map, I'll just be constantly running and knifing people.


I really want my EBR though. I hat the Barret.50 cal. Infinity Ward dropped the ball big-time on that gun. It should not require Stopping Power or FMJ. It's a fucking anti-material rifle, this thing is for shooting people behind walls of reinforced steel and even light tanks. Basically, a 50 cal round is one freaking huge bullet and it doesn't matter where it hits you, if you're hit your screwed.

About the only thing they (sorta) got right is the Recoil - it has a hell of a kick and technically you shouldn't be able to fire it while standing, especially not at the rate you can when hip firing. I can unload a full mag in about 3 seconds if I spam the trigger. At least in Halo it makes sense since the Chief is a Spartan wearing a 2 tonne suit of armor - but in this game you're just a normal human and firing a high caliber gun like that so rapidly (and while standing no less) would take your arm off. But what bugs me most is the inaccuracy of the gun. Now, it's probably just lag (I've seen some really bad lag in this game as of late and Infinity Ward needs to fix this - it's sure as hell not me with my 9.6 MBPs cable connection) but I've had several instances looking down my ACOG/Thermal Scope with the guy's chest cavity centered perfectly in my sights. I fire and.... nothing. Or any other gun really, I constantly wind up shooting someone with something that ought to have killed them (I see and hear the gun go off on-screen) but then the Death Cam shows that I just stood there and died. Um... wut?

Games are player-hosted, which is why we're all getting a lot of lag.

The throwing knife is plain retarded. Did they intentionally make it completely out of this world? It's metal, yet it bounces like rubber, and drops out of the air like lead. Or maybe I throw like a girl. It's probably all of the above. I got ONE sweet kill with it, and tried to get ballsy, but it was like throwing complex mathematical theories because I just couldn't wrap my head around what was going on.

Also, Riot Shield + Commando = Falcon Punch.

Obtained a copy of Tales of Graces from a friend so Makai Kingdom is dropped for now.

Also trying out The Last Remnant on PC. I don't know if I actually like the game yet, but I have to say I am SO VERY HAPPY that they finally ported a 360 game to PC properly. It runs like it was made for the PC and the 360 buttons aren't brute forced all over the game.
