Started up Phantasy Star Portable again, gonna try to get into the last areas. I would say "finish the story" but there isn't a story worth finishing here. Just give up some rares and epic bosses and nobody gets hurt.

Saw my second set of rappys today, but they dropped lowbie junk and not S-class rares.

Otherwise, bouncing between that, the Persona 4 Expert run and KH 358/2 Days.

I sat down with a friend and beat Dead Space: Extraction in six hours.

For a number of reasons, it's definitely one of the best rail shooters I've played. Their telling of the colonists' stories through multiple points of view was excellent. You move from one person to another as the story progresses without actually take a huge step forwards or backwards in time. The characters were very compelling, some familiar, and one appearing naked. The nude scene was a real head-scratcher for me, I was thinking, 'why did she take her clothes off for that?'. I wont argue though; it was as tasteful as nudity in a video game could possibly be and a pleasant treat.

They lose a lot when it comes to depth, though, because a lot of Dead Space wasn't translated properly. Upgrades must be located and snatched from the environment, and only provide additional ammunition in a single clip. Performing well in a stage will earn you stars which go towards upgrading your rig. Ammunition and health must also be snatched from the environment, often in a fraction of a second before you move on. Necromorphs aren't scary, or startling, and they're extremely tame.

If you're really interested in the Dead Space universe, it's a must play. It takes you from the planet's surface, up to the Ishimura, and ends around the time when Dead Space begins. You'll travel through a lot of familiar environments, which totally didn't seem like a cop-out, and you'll see a few familiar faces. You'll know of a little that happens if you've seen/read the comics, but it goes a bit further than that. You'll even do things that you'll eventually undo in Dead Space.

Well, finally had it with my old PC, so I've attempted to fix up this old laptop my sister pawned off on me for now. So far in a few hours I've already tweaked some stuff, now I'm gonna see if I can get SMT Imagine up and running on this thing.

This laptop is going to have to be the in-betweener til I can afford a new PC (and stop buying games long enough to save for one).

Been playing Jeanne D'Arc alongside PS Portable on PSP, so far I'm really liking it.

Checked out Shiren the Wanderer: Mystery Dungeon for DS as well. Its actually more sadistic than the other MD games by my understanding - I'm talking in a Demon's Souls kind of way here. You die and you don't just lose all the stuff on you, but your levels and all dungeon progress, it seems. And there's over 100 horrible ways to die, they made sure of that.

Seems like a worthy title to set along side Dark Spire and Etrian Oddyssey (holy shit, finally got that word down without Firefox catching me, Oddyssey, yay). Gonna put it to the side for now, though, I want to finish KH 358/2 Days and do Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia next.

The Persona 4 run continues, coming upon big-ass dungeon #3. It has a strip club theme, but sadly its all empty except for monsters and thumping bass with breathy vocals.

Shit I didn't know it was out... Uncharted 2 is also out now, and I never got around to playing the 1st! > .<;

Still playing Fable 2. Honestly, I really hate this Will system, I LIKED Fable 1's wide variety of Will spells. Even if you were a melee character or a ranger, there were spells to enhance your gameplay in this field. Right now they give you around 4-5 spells that are actually of any good, and you're supposed to work with it. While some spells like Assassin's Rush in Fable 1 were downright broken at times, this is still a giant step down. All those spells in Fable 1 literally gave it replay value for me, since I played it through 4 times, last 3 being 'Pure' classes to maximize. I most likely won't pick this game up again after beating it and maybe giving the online co-op a try.

I like the new charge up system over having to watch my Will bar, although frankly in some ambush situations I'm just wasting potions if I try to cast spells, cause I'm guarenteed to get beat on.

I just got me a new pc, so I'm playing Dungeons and Dragons Online, and Everquest 2....

I'm also playing Age of Empires 3, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3....

Got Risen downloading so I can play that....I need to go and play Fallout 3 so I can make some real progress...

Yeah I'm glad it was only $10. I could have done a lot worse lol.

But it basically boils down to the exact same strategy for every single map. It's just a matter of finding the unit placement.

I'm playing as Roland and every single chest I open is full of pistols. I have a purple pistol and SMG, but a white assault rifle. I found a sweet class mod that helps out there, though.

Feels a lot like Godfather: Blackhand, only without wiimote. Also in the Old West, which is much fucking cooler than the Godfather could ever hope to be.
