FFXI is sadly the main game I'm playing at the moment, current goal when blu is 37 I can sub it with my DRG to solo as many NMs as I can among others such as Avatars blah blah blah, complete ToAU story, possibly ACP. Once I've accomplished *said* goals I'll quit FFXI for a bit and go back to the following:

Star Ocean for PSP
Lost Odyssey for Xbox

and among the other 40+ RPGs I've started and haven't finished.

Beat Red Faction. Man if that wasn't a grind. Also, hi2u tech demo games. GeoMod is neat, but added nothing to the game. at all. I don't think I've played a buggier game ever, though. And that includes homebrew/indie/otherwise made by unprofessionals in mom's basement games.

Get this: after the final boss fight, you have to defuse a bomb. But you're never told the code, and you have to guess. Which means hammering on your gamepad as fast as possible until the code locks in, and then repeating until you get the entire thing.

There are no autosaves. Or continues. You can save any time you want, but when you die you can only go back to your last save.

It wasn't terrible, but man I do not want to repeat that experience.

So GameStop's goddamn B2G1 conned me again.

Picked up The Thing, played the first level. Interesting so far.

Picked up PSI-OPS, but it DRE'd, so I'll be exchanging it for either another copy, or Sly Cooper.

Also picked up and played an hour of a game called LifeLine. You know how a lot of games have a 'voice in your head', a 'guy with an internet connection', the guy that "hacks" open all of the doors for you, and tells you what to do? Imagine that in a survival horror/science fiction (it's in spaaaaaaaaaace) game... and you are that guy. And it uses a goddamn headset. You talk to the character to command it. It's like Hey You Pikachu!. In space. With creepy alien monster things. And an intelligent character; at a couple times it does feel like you're actually telling a person what to do, instead of using random voice commands. Almost conversational. The battle system is pretty mediocre, especially since you have to speak calmly, although in a way that's kind of neat-- gives you an idea of what a horror game could do by making you stay calm with the Vitality Sensor.

This also brings my backlog up to fifteen games.

And I also have a lengthy list of games I intend to buy, that are out now on platforms I own (FF6, FF7 [repurchasing on PSN, sold my GH copy], FF9, Persona 4, World of Goo, Secret of Mana, Super Mario World, MadWorld, HOTD: Overkill, The Munchables), and then more on platforms I don't have and games that aren't out (MGS4, TLG, MPT, GTA4, Muramasa, ES4 [or Fallout 3], Burnout Paradise, Flower). That's 33 games I've got lined up. And there are more all the time.

Put down InFamous and Prototype to play Fallout 3 for 360, there are no words for this game lol. Beat the main story and 2 of the expansions, working on beating Broken Steel, and planning to download Point Lookout when it comes out tomorrow. The NPC characters you can bring with you are pretty cool, and not only that, some of the random events of the game are pretty awesome too.

I was walking outside of Megaton (First city you are supposed to go to) and there is a robot guard outside of the city that fends off monsters coming that way, and above him there is a guy with some sort of rifle hanging on a lookout near the opening gate. As soon as I walked outside of the city I saw the robot guard shooting at a Giant Ant which he killed pretty fast. There was also a caravan right outside of the city that was destroyed by a Warewolf looking monster (Forget their names.) 2 seconds after that, the robot turned around and realized the warewolf was heading towards him and he started shooting, only to get his head knocked off by the warewolf. After all this he decided to go after my dog...That was when i had to go into V.A.T.S. mode and blow his face off with the shotgun while he was in mid swing. Usually there is a homeless guy chilling outside of the city but he wasn't out there, so I stood around for a minute and then he popped like nothing had happened. Not too long after this, I went back to the city and the robot was alive again but was immediately killed by the same type of warewolf mob. The warewolf also killed the homeless man outside the city that was minding his own business.

Yeah it's a good game but the story was way too short. I would have preferred a longer, more thought out plot with a good chunk of side stuff rather than something a 12 year old could have written coupled with an endless expanse of shit (and by shit I don't mean the quality of the game)

Doesn't help that all the DLC is PC/360 exclusive - _ -'

I'm just glad a vast majority of the games I'm interested in are japanese, which means the PS3 will at least get some respect from devs.

It was fun for the 3 hours the story lasted, but I don't really care for the WRPG style of shit story, incredible amount of miscellaneous things you can do for no real reason. Once the story is over I mostly lost interest as the game itself is just your regular FPS with a glorified auto aim.

I mean, after I beat the game I still came back to blow up all the kids in Little Lamplight with the Fat Man, but that was only fun for so long.

The game is way over priced anyway. If it was $30 I might buy it but I've had my fun with it.

It's perhaps the single greatest rental title in AGES but definitely not worth buying. It's great fun, and once you beat it you're left satisfied by the experience. The MP sucks, it's all competitive (seriously how the fuck did they fail to add co-op?) but the main story was just so well done it almost makes up for it.

If Bill Murray wasn't such an assfuck who didn't give two shits about the role (everyone I ask and nearly every review agrees his VA was god awful. He's not even funny, he's just an asshole the entire time) and if they'd added splitscreen (or at least XBL) coop it would have been pure epic win.
