Just sent Prince of Persia back to Gamefly. It was okay, nowhere near as much fun as I was told it would be. My problem with it was that the gameplay got stale quick, and the abilities you could unlock didn't do enough for me to stay interested. I probably got about halfway through, and then was just done with it. Next on my queue is DMC4, so before I play, is it any good?

If you thought Raiden from MGS2 was cool, you'll probably like Nero. Otherwise you'll probably think he's an annoying punk and hate the sections where you have to play as him.

Bad Girl was tough, Jeane was a pushover, but after fighting Henry

until I was afraid my hands would start bleeding, I decided I'm fine with not seeing the ending again, at least not for now. I think I'll wait until I have testicles the size of watermelons before I try taking that on again.

Nero is like, the worst retconn ever by Capcom honestly what the fuck. They've completely shat on whatever story potential the series had (Which is why I turned to the anime & manga. There's also a couple of novels that are just *amazing* that the anime even took into consideration for 1 episode O.o)

I'd give DMC4 a 7/10 personally, and that's largely because of just how much more bad ass Dante has become. Nero's VA was fine (same guy that does Ichigo in Bleach and Rush in TLR. Guy's name escapes me atm and it's 4:41 AM lol need 2 get 2 bed X.X) but the character himself just does not belong in the series at all.

The more mature (and I use the term loosely) Dante was great though, even if he was just going through all the same levels again backwards. Dante's just so much stronger than Nero and being able to switch styles on the fly (even in mid-combo) was just too awesome. DMC2 is absolute fucking garbage though and a testament to everything that's wrong with Capcom these days. They used to be my favorite developer until they let Mega Man, DMC and RE all go to rat shit.

Just bought Wildarms XF impulsvily from the a french BX over here. Anyone heard anything about it? It sounds good, but i haven't even finished FF:T yet, so I'm kinda in the dark.

I enjoyed Wild Arms XF. If you like SRPGs you should enjoy it just fine.
I actually don't really like SRPG much, but there are a few that I enjoy quite a bit (mostly Disgaea series, really).

I hate to have to keep pointing this out - but you're not supposed to take Capcom stories seriously. Capcom characters are only about attitude and hardcore action, nothing more or less, which is why no one likes DMC2 - it had neither. So Vergel had a son, big f'n deal.

Dante is just supposed to be a wisecracking cool guy. He was that in everything he's appeared in but DMC2. Only reason to hate DMC4 is trying to take Dante out of the leading role. This is Dante's show, fuck all extra characters and potential protagonists.

Disagree that Capcom has completely gone to hell in a handbasket, though, its just they completely alienated Shinji Mikami last gen - to the point he left Capcom. He pretty much was the heart and soul of over half thier franchieses.

Street Fighter and Ace Attourney might fare well without him, but who knows about the rest.

They say it right in the game that Nero is the 3rd son, which is a complete load of BS.

Also supposedly Inafune has also left Capcom, or that's what I heard (personally I'm not buying it until I see some proof)

Capcom does come up with decent plots, they just have a ridiculous tendency to ruin them once it starts getting good.

Here's hoping RE6 will go back to being a Resident Evil game and not just an action game with "zombies" and that Kojima will in fact make good on ZOE3.

Finally getting somewhere pretty sweet in Monster Hunter 2 Freedom. The same buddy who hookt me on FFxi has done it again cuz the bug has definitely bitten me. I've finally reached the Volcanoe lands and have gotten some cool weapons. My felyne chefs have purple names and have "out-leveled" me a bunch since I'm still rolling about with piss-yellow colored name.

Now everytime me and said buddy duo on FFxi we constantly >

No, Capcom never does good plots. Go see the footage for RE: Darkside Chronicles. B-movies grade plot and diologue as always. Go look at Code Veronica to be double sure, then replay Devil May Cry.

Capcom is getting better at setting moods and giving characters attitudes, but unless its Ace Attorney, I'm not holding out much hope for a plot.

And ok, Nero is another son of Sparda. I've seen worse retcons, like Spiderman post-Civil War or the revival of Jason Todd.
