<Blank>s are scary to people that don't want to understand them.
Pretty much.
NSMBWii update: got every Star Coin up through and including World 6, at the start of World 7. FFXII:RW update: I'm apparently two fights away from finally finishing this dang ten-part dungeon, and if I still can't get the last three Tier III Espers by the time I finish, then screw them, I'll beat the final boss without them. I think I'll move on to finally finishing up SMG and starting Etrian Odyssey when I finish those two.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Is nobody else playing this game through infrastructure mode?
If it had an infrastructure mode, I'm sure people would be playing it. Since it only functions with Ad Hoc Party on PS3? Not so much.
If people want to play connected to a console at home, the stronger community is with Monster Hunter Tri on Wii. And the Wii version is every bit as good, if not better. Plus you can swim in that version, which while one feature of the game is something I actually appreciate.
The next MH for PSP is confirmed to have Infrastructure since AHP has been a tremendous failure in just about every corner of the world.

I joined an online Guild Hall through infrastructure mode just this weekend. I checked the quest board and nothing was posted, and I saw nobody else in the hall. I connected through a wireless router.

Again, you are mistaken, MHFU is ad-hoc only. If you want to go online with this version, you need to download Ad Hoc Party for PS3 and search for others through that app on the PS3. The only other way is Xlink Kai though your PC, you may want to google that for details.
What you did was attempt to host an ad hoc multiplayer game, which is what the Guild Hall is for and might make you think you're jumping into an online game. You only set up a hosted game on ad-hoc, though. No one was there. Being as popular as this game is in Japan, how could it be possible no one else in the world was playing it if it was was online-enabled?
You didn't connect through your wireless router, you simply thought you did. Don't feel bad, it happened to me with some handheld games.

Well, thank you for clearing that up. Now I'll go check out the Ad Hoc Party.
... I've come so far... yet I've still ALOT to do in MHU; and, I'm fairly sure they won't let me transfer my character over cuz it will be an entirely new game. I haven't been able to advance much cuz I'm playing catch-up with my buddy who sold off his PSP, games, and gave GameCrazy his memory card (I mean... who does that??) then got re-interested in MH after the fact.. so I've been trying to get him up to snuff, but he's no where near what he once was... now a new MH for PSP approaches - not to mention the 360 one that will more than likely (at least in my mind) be released in US.
.. oh well... I asked for it long LONG ago... and now I've got my wish I spose. Think I'll just focus on getting the cat's questline finished.
Any opinions expressed are my own, and potentially unpopular with others. Should this be upsetting, maybe, read it again, insert smiley faces, rainbows, and glitter as needed.
Yeah, I think its likely they won't let you transfer that character because they're going to actually add infrastucture mode with the next MH and want everyone to start out equally. Sega's doing the same thing with Phantasy Star Portable 2 which is pretty much why I stopped playing the other one, not to mention PS Portable 2 is a lot better than the previous game and I'm just going off the demo. PS Portable was terrible if you were a Ranger class, you could only strafe horizontally and PSZ and PS Portable 2 fix that.
Unfortunately Sega takes for-fucking-ever to localize, so I practically forgot about PS Portable 2. It wasn't even on anyone's radar at E3, but the demo was there in English and they said it was slated for this fall.
