Yeah real stupid, that must be why every military in the world trains soldiers to aim for center mass. I mean it's EVER so realistic for a guy to take 3~4 seconds of assault rifle fire to the side of the fucking head and miraculously survive with 2% HP left or not die instantly to .50 caliber machine gun fire.

Hardcore is awesome.


And idk what's more awesome that Lilith shot or the dude playing Kefka in Armando's post. The Ifrit was pretty cool too ^^

Yeah well, when shooters start touting various aspects of realism, they bring this kind of stigma upon themselves. Even MW2, as good as it is with the relative damage of guns screwed up a number of them.


If I want to play a silly shooter where people are going to take a million bullets to die, there's always Halo. At least in Halo it's believable. Some American/Russion shmuck running around in a bit of Kevlar though? Not a fucking chance.

Deus Ex was the only FPS worth a damn and that's because it wasn't really a FPS.

I'm really tired of video games trying to mimick reality. I play games to escape that crap.

Rock Band 2 (PS3)

Mass Effect 1 (PC - lost my ME1 saves a while back to a botched reformat, already finished ME2 but want a "clean" ME1 save to do a new playthrough with imports)

Resonance of Fate (PS3) - closing in on a platinum trophy

Nier (PS3) - this game is better than I expected

Beat Nier the other day, I absolutely love the music in the game, it's amazing.

Also caved and bought a Wii for Monster Hunter Tri and the new Metroid game coming soon.

Has anyone played X3 before? It's on special on Steam at the moment and looks like some bells and whistles version of the old Elite game where you fly around different star systems, blow shit up, and trade.

Been getting back to Team Fortress 2 recently. Though the 360 version, since my PC sucks. -.- Geez, they really left this version to the dirt. Not one single update through-out it's release. Wonder if they even remember it exists.

Then of course, Super Street Fighter IV. Never played the Vanilla version so, win-win for me! It's a brand new game for only 40 bucks. :D

Still waiting for Red Dead Redemption... that game can't come out any sooner.

Finished The Force Unleashed last night. It's pretty fun, playing a Sith/Jedi in an action game is always dope. However, it's so buggy that it makes my head spin. But, I don't have a real internet connection to patch my game, so maybe I'm missing something. I def know that I don't have any trophies for that game.

Still playing Super SFIV, learning Juri. She plays like a GG or BB character, but she feels so one dimensional. Hit confirm to pinwheel and store low fireball pressure is all I got. Dive kicks are so dangerous, can't really use them too often.

Will probably start Saboteur tonight, or maybe finish Red Faction: Guerilla.

Ugh, I couldn't stand Juri at first. She was EVERYWHERE online, and her moves were hard to predict, mostly how her sweep hit box was longer than it seemed.

But yeah, she can be quite predictable now. So easy to punish.
