I'm on the fence about SC2 now. On the one hand, I've been waiting forever for it and it looks positively fucking awesome.
On the other hand, I hate Bobby Kotick - a lot. And at $70 per release that's rather steep just to get additional campaigns even if they are much longer and open-ended compared to the original game. My heart wants SC2, but my wallet and my head want to tell Activision to go screw itself.
Incidentally, Bad Company 2 ftw. It's got it's flaws (it's really, really unfair playing against higher level people especially assholes who do nothing but call in mortar strikes on Recon or drive around in vehicles since they can't shoot for shit) and the lack of maps is rather annoying but over all I like it. Didn't care for hardcore mode at all in MW2 but I like it a lot in BC2 as people take way, way too much punishment to bring down in normal mode.
I don't give a rats ass if your entire body is covered in kevlar, you take a sniper round to the midsection and you're done.
