I'm on the fence about SC2 now. On the one hand, I've been waiting forever for it and it looks positively fucking awesome.

On the other hand, I hate Bobby Kotick - a lot. And at $70 per release that's rather steep just to get additional campaigns even if they are much longer and open-ended compared to the original game. My heart wants SC2, but my wallet and my head want to tell Activision to go screw itself.


Incidentally, Bad Company 2 ftw. It's got it's flaws (it's really, really unfair playing against higher level people especially assholes who do nothing but call in mortar strikes on Recon or drive around in vehicles since they can't shoot for shit) and the lack of maps is rather annoying but over all I like it. Didn't care for hardcore mode at all in MW2 but I like it a lot in BC2 as people take way, way too much punishment to bring down in normal mode.

I don't give a rats ass if your entire body is covered in kevlar, you take a sniper round to the midsection and you're done.

Man I've been poking around Wario Ware DIY all night. Its fun, its this generation's Mario Paint.

If you want to check out my creations (only one so far and its pretty easy) my friend code is:

They give you up to six storage slots to store stuff on their servers, but there are many more in the game, so you can rotate your stuff out after your friends have it.

There's apparently some other stuff to unlock, such as a comics creator and a record creator (music.) Working on that stuff now.

Basically you can store two microgames, two songs and two comics you created online. This is going to be quite a time waster.

Still on Pokemon SS, pretty much at the expense of all my other RPGs.

Sakura Wars:SLML has failed to hold my interest. Too much weeaboo shit, not enough SRPG. They go too far on the visual novel end of things with this game. Six hours and only two battles. Ick. Trading this in toward Monster Hunter Tri.

Lots of Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and Tekken 6 on my PSP. PSP is actually getting played. Too bad I nicked the screen by accident the other day. Its easy to look past it for now, but I'm gonna exchange it out if I can get another Mystic Silver. Or maybe I'll just swap it for the pack with MGS Peacewalker if I can get away with that.

For Soulcalibur, they've just changed Ivy - my usual main - too much for me to like her anymore. She's not broken like she was in SCIII, but even so, the way you access her stances now is too damned restrictive. I like Hilde, though, and Raphael and Amy are pretty fun, too.

Not much of a Tekken fan in the past but I like the no-bullshit version they put out for PSP. Hated the forced story mode of the console version - mostly because Tekken stories are never worthwhile. I used to be a Law and Xiayou player, but for this version I'm veering to Lei and Alisa.

Finished GrimGrimiore, on easy anyway and haven't tried the bonus stages, but a good story and great voice acting made it great. They did their homework when it came to the types of magic and witchcraft.

I have no idea how it got a E10 rating though. T would have been about right, there are a few things that make it not very E.

I will be boycotting Starcraft 2 (and all Activision products). Bobby Kotick is a greedy beancounter, and I refuse to hand any more of my money over to that disgusting bag of protoplasm, even by proxy.

In this case, the fact that her head and arms remained attached - and that chainsaws don't sprout from those arms - is a plus.

Though I do wonder how you "block" swords and chainsaws in Tekken. Those Namco characters have some pretty sturdy limbs. Maybe its adamantium.

Hardcore is for noobs. It doesn't take me any longer to kill somebody in normal than it does in hardcore.

Plus, one hit kills from sniper rifles is just plain stupid. As if there aren't enough snipers in normal who couldn't make a head shot as it is, in hardcore it doesn't even matter how terrible they are. Head-shots are easier than donuts, I can get marksman head-shots with SHOTGUNS in my sleep.

Yeah real stupid, that must be why every military in the world trains soldiers to aim for center mass. I mean it's EVER so realistic for a guy to take 3~4 seconds of assault rifle fire to the side of the fucking head and miraculously survive with 2% HP left or not die instantly to .50 caliber machine gun fire.

Hardcore is awesome.
