Broke down and bought a used copy of FFXIII (JP) before Chinese New Years for a little under $40. I'm only about to chapter 4 or 5, I think. No idea what the NPC's are saying, but a number of people have translated the main storyline. Enjoying the battle mechanics and upgrading weapons. The HD graphics aren't bad either

I want to buy Darksiders now that I've played most of the way thru the demo... it's Zelda mixt with Heavy Metal... I really liked it.

Got killed for the first time by another player in Demon's Souls... I think I coulda taken him if I hadn't totally panic'd. I'm basically a Samurai and he was a armor clad great sword wielder. I was farming souls from the 4.2 (I think) and he comes barrelling in... I totally panic... and my RL buddy is watching me as I'm just showing him the game for a quick minute... I roll and hack this dude down to below 50%, he's hit me once and takes alot of life away, I roll again and snik him for another cut... he's at like 20-30%... I'm an adrenalized idiot at this point and think... "I'm just gonna lead him into the room of death so I can pop some herbs" I jump down, he doesn't... I navigate thru the glowing giants and look back... he is right behind me with a giant glowing sword. I run for the stairs and stupidly take the herbs... he backstabs me to finish the job. If I wouldn't have panic'd and just held my ground I think I coulda taken him with my maneuverablity... idk tho... maybe he had more tricks... but he totally caught the rabbit outta the hole for the first time. Love that game.

Just picked up The Saboteur on the cheap.
Started Chrono Cross, about 5 hours in, pretty good, I like it.
Still have Red Faction: Guerilla and Afro Samurai on my to-finish list.
Still playing FFXI and Heroes of Newerth.

I'm back and forth between FFXIII and BFBC2. Bad Company 2 is definitely getting on my nerves, and not just because EA isn't done fucking around with the servers, but because the more I play it the more it feels like MW2. On top of that, hit detection is a total mess. The game is just too predictable.

Edit: I had been wanting to get a Pokemon game for my DS for quite some time. Whenever I went to a store I'd check prices, but they would never dip below 30$. After reading this thread over the past week or so I decided to check Amazon's prices for these two and the older ones.

I just bought Soul Silver for 32.99 which is approximately what Platinum (and it's counterparts) are selling for at amazon. I just don't understand why the prices have not fallen on the older ones. Generally speaking the older the game, the cheaper the price, unless it's rare of course.

Yes, I do know I could have gotten a used game for really cheap. I wanted a new one, sue me.

She might enjoy X more than XII. My hubby isn't a big gamer and he enjoyed X (didn't finish though) but when he played XII he quit after a few hours.

And Feba, for some odd reason, I''m really enjoying Rune Factory 2 (DS). I haven't even gotten to the 2nd generation yet (you play as your kid) and most people say thats when its even more fun.
