The Dark Souls II PC Port is fucking awesome. It plays at a stable 60FPS, has gamepad support out of the box (the game assumes you're using a 360 pad for button prompts and that is the pad it s optimised for, I prefer the PS4 pad though), and looks pretty awesome.

Only negative thing to say about the port is that it lacks Steam Cloud support. It's fucking ridiculous that it isn't supported by any dev in 2014, but it is a very easy workaround if you just use Dropbox or Google Drive for your savegames and make a Junction to your Dark Souls II Saves folder.

The framerate makes it so much more fun than the PS3 version though. Combat animatons are much more smooth so DEX builds are extremely fun to play because of it. Online is a lot less laggy too as a result because you aren't locked to a framerate that completely messed up your i-frames when dodging, parrying and blocking. The game is very well optimised as well for Mid Range machines if what my FC on FFXIV is telling me is true.

Overall a very good port, and it is a far more enjoyable experience because of it.

Just finished collecting all the Sun Stones in Kirby Triple Deluxe. All I gotta say is, in Stage 8 EX, they really went of their way to hit all the fan service buttons.

Not looking forward to Earth Eater or Dark Yojimbo (for ribbon armor) ugh.

Of course I COULD take the easy way out vs Penance (Yojimbo) but no idea how much gil that'd take. Enemies like Earth Eater & Jumbo Flan make me want to castrate SE. I thought I hated Ozma... geez.

Dragon Age: Origins. Originally, I was playing that new game, Bound by Flames. Been in the mood to play a swords-and-sorcery game. But Bound by Flames didn't really capture my interest. It just made me want to play Dragon Age: Origins instead...

Playing D3 mostly for a while, they just started an anniversary event for double drop rate on legendary items and double rift keystones which is awesome!

Well, I finished Dragon Age: Origins for the first time and am wondering if I should play II between now and Inquisition. But I hear II is bad. Anybody want to speak on its behalf and convince me otherwhys?

DA II is bad. Mostly unlikable cast (aside from Varric), poorly functioning combat and equipment mechanics, dreadful lack of map/level variety that causes the same level to appear over and over in different missions.

I guess if you want more backstory before playing DA3: Inquisition, it might be worth a quick run through to minimize the pain.

Watch Dogs is out soon, gonna pre-order it then return it within the 7 days (yay EB edge) and put the full value towards Destiny. Also got MK8 on pre-order :D


Really honestly enjoying Diablo 3 again. There was an anniversary event going on with 2x rift keystones and double legendary drop rates and while the keystone buff is gone, Blizzard decided to make the increased drop rates on legendary items permanent which is sweet.

Given up most games atm. Still playing:

FFXIV - occasionally
Warframe - occasionally. I basically just log in for the buff atm!
And Railworks (TS2014) - building a track of some local interest. Wish that the builder had better options and was less buggy.

Thinking of cancelling Borderlands 2 for PSVita. Cancelled Watchdogs for PS4.
