^^b it's quite fun and very easy to pick up.

Game is way too RNG heavy though. I am absolutely loving Stick of Truth right now. Currently a level 7 Jew on day 2.

Only got Pokemon X though, so I'll probably have to set down some massive rules considering it's so easy... unless that was just Exp Share making it easy. Hmm~

I picked up Blood of the Werewolf this weekend. While I like the visual design and the story, there are parts of the level design which feel just a tad too abusive. I get that it's supposed to be on the more difficult end of the spectrum, but there are times when it falls into the bad habits of older game design. Things like making prolonged challenging sections where one slip up sends you all the way back to the start of the ordeal even though there are checkpoints throughout the rest of the level and a few platforms which would have served as good halfway points within the current ordeal. But no, instead it's all the way back to the start of the section to try to outrun the moving wall for the 30th time as you try to fiddle with the shitty crossbow aiming controls so you can blast down platforms to proceed all the while dodging enemy projectiles. Oh and with how the control scheme is laid out it's impossible to jump and aim at the same time, which the level design seems to expect you to do, so it just becomes a clusterfuck of a thing.

I really want to like this game because it's almost there, but I think it should have gone a few more iterations in development before they let it loose on the market.

Titanfall. Fun.

I was better than everybody when the game first came out, and now people are catching up to me. It's nice not hunting for enemies to kill. They come to me a lot more often, now.

Just imagine its Sully carrying Sumia and her Pegasus. Makes more sense that way.

Put another ridiculous amount of time into that game recently. I'm pretty sure my tactician, Owain and Olivia pretty much murder anyone I streetpass now. Then again, my tactician is a maxed out Grandmaster equipped with a forged Brave Sword, Galeforce, Armsthrift, Astra, Vantage and Sol.

Picked up Bravely Default, A Link Between World and found a launch copy of Etrian Odyssey Untold recently. Been playing Castlevania games for the last few weeks, though, so I don't know when I'll get to them.

I also watched a friend play through Lords of Shadow 2. Basically if you liked the first game, just play that again because Mirror of Fate and LoS2 are irredeemable shitheaps in gameplay and story.

Sang-Froid Tales of Werewolves is proving to be pretty good so far. It's lots of meticulous planning, which is satsifying, but the action gameplay feels like it could be a bit smoother, but that might be by design. I'm still not ready to pass judgement on it one way or the other.

I gotta say though, the opening music for this game is pretty great. There's a fair bit of waiting for the game to load when you first start up, but that opening tune just makes it a complete non-issue. I wish more games would stumble into good design like that.

Still playing FFXIV... got the PS4 recently so add Assassins Creed 4 to that!

Bought Dark Souls 2 and played about 10 hours of that (been my week off btw!) but the boy has [predictably] nicked it from me so I probably won't see it again!

Never mind tho, FFX arrived for my Vita and I'm into that while waiting for DS2 to return...still prefer FFXII tho

Grabbed FFX for my Vita since I already have X and X-2 that I can play on my PS3, and it means I now have FF1 through X-2 on the Vita (And technically I-XIV for the PS3 thinking about it).

My Vita's been getting almost all of my gaming time lately.

Recently played:

Luftrausers (Vita / PS3): This is a really fun 2D aerlial dogfighting game where you get to pilot a customizable plane and try to take down as many enemy ships/planes/blimps as you can before you're overwhelmed by bullets. Not actually a bullet hell shooter, but the number of projectiles on-screen eventually becomes overwhelming as you defeat more enemies and harder ones start spawning.

Steamworld Dig (Vita / PS3) : Part Spelunky, part DigDug, part Blaster Master. This is a cool little take on the procedurally generated mining game with a story-line, more limited (but multiple) digging zones, with side dungeons and upgradeable items / abilities / stats.

inFamous: Second Son (PS4): Only had an hour and a half or so to throw at this game but so far it feels very much like an inFamous game. It also has the best visuals of any next generation console game released so far. Super-clean image quality and a fairly good frame rate, and hands down the best lighting I've ever seen in a game, period. Can't comment on powerups because I only have the first power unlocked, but even within that one power there's a lot of optional bonus powers that you can develop. The Karma system is back (good / evil choices) and more or less similar to past inFamous games.

Final Fantasy X HD Remaster (Vita / PS3):
Yup. It's FFX. Remastered. It's gorgeous, even if Tidus looks weird now. Also liking the new Sphere grid mechanics. Can't say much more than that because I'm only up to Kilika.

The main issue I have with the Expert grid is that it has 50 less Spheres than the Standard (so you end up noticeably weaker than you would had you not gone normal), plus it makes Khimari even more useless since it takes him a while to even get on someone's path.

On the flip side, Yuna is a LOT more powerful since the layout makes it easy for her to cherry pick Lulu's best spells.

That said, the FFX/X-2 remaster is quickly reminding me why Rikku was my favourite character when I was a teenager XD

Wanted to play Diablo 3 and crack open Infamous, but I'm just so worn out after everything that's happened. If I get time and feel like it I'll do a live stream at some point this week.
