Nah, my black deck just scrubbed the board until it was squeaky clean.

Every other deck yeah, but that was mostly because you always painted a target on your face from the word "go". Everyone else was smart enough to just let me do all the work at my own expense while they just set up their own win conditions.

Aside, I always wanted to go after the person setting up the obvious combo win first, but you always forced yourself to become a bigger threat to me . . .

ADD: So after owning it for probably literally years now, I began my Etrian Odyssey. Is there anything I should know or do in particular before I get myself killed too fast?

Hearthstone is a game all about board control. If you control the board you are doing well regardless of how shit your luck is with top decking stuff. Watch some of TotalBiscuit's Hearthstone Videos some time. He pulls a lot of seemingly lost games back by regaining control of the board. Then of course there are the videos where he gets stomped due to pure bad luck but that is part of playing a game genre that relies mostly on luck.

IIRC the DiV multiplayer games went in the following order: you and I would kill each other, and then somebody would combo everyone else out.

You also forgot about me attempting to play a creature deck to test out something and being promptly smashed into the dust. Usually by TM.

Oh and me and Cid constantly teaming up to screw over Yyg with Team Rocket levels of backfire and failure.

yeah but then you have stupid shit like forked lightning and in the late game, overload really doesn't matter so if any +spell power is out suddenly your board goes poof for super cheap.

Board Sweepers are much more potent in this game because damage is permanent and you automatically get 1 more mana each turn - you don't have potentially wasted draws by getting a land.

Borderlands DLC is wearing me down.

I had planned to use my time off from work to finish them off, but it's feeling like a chore. Moxxi's Underdome was a straight grindfest, as was a fair portion of the Dr. Ned quest line. General Knoxx was at least an amusing character(kind of upset he didn't get more face time, he seemed like a cool dude). Now I'm trying to slog through the robot revolution one and it just feels really slow. Maybe its that the gear distribution has been kind of haywire since I started playthrough 2, but this last stretch of the marathon just feels like the enemies suddenly quadrupled in health and damage without the guns being able to keep pace at all. Also I'm really fucking sick of random scavenger hunts. Those quests add precisely one thing to my experience: frustration.
I'm about ready to uninstall it and move on to finishing The Witcher 2 so I can get on with reformatting this machine.

I picked up Deus Ex Human Revolution(Director's Cut) tonight.

First impressions are overwhelmingly terrible. The combat felt like ass and not at all like the original in any capacity.

What really got me mad though was when they dump you into the first real level that you can explore and then immediately punish you for doing so by introducing a time limit for stuff. Spending hours exploring every nook and cranny of the map was a pretty big part of the original. I'm so goddamn angry at this game right now that I can't even continue to play the first level. I've turned it off and am downloading Dino D-Day because that will be an infinitely better experience than this farce of Deus Ex game.

I was under the impression that the director's cut was supposed to be the version that didn't suck ass but apparently they left plenty of poor design choices in there. I don't know that anything I've encountered so far is actually different from the vanilla version.

Can anyone recommend me a game that will put my new video card through the ringer that isn't total ass?

Uh, Planetside 2 on max settings is probably pretty harsh I'd imagine given you have thousands on players active at once, though that might be more CPU-intensive than GPU.


Honestly other than Battlefield 4, nothing's coming to mind as far as current releases go.

Still playing Sonic Lost World 3DS. I'm at the point I can comfortably say I'm "good" at the game. Finished the Sky Road Act 3 with no deaths, 999 rings, and under 5 minutes. It was awesome. I don't use Super Sonic, either.

...still waiting for Radiant Historia in the mail though. Bought 2 copies. One for me since I still haven't played it yet despite hearing that it's very good. But more importantly, bought it for a friend's birthday coming up. I'm going to miss that deadline if it doesn't arrive tomorrow or on Monday though. I really would rather not give somebody a late present

First of all: fuck you for making me open Steam on my laptop to check my library for "Good games that Cid might actually like"

Far Cry Blood Dragon (FC3 is good but I think you will like Blood Dragon more)
Age of Wushu (Will also give PNM something to cover, not that demanding though due to it being decently optimised)
Total War: Shogun 2 (Fall of the Samurai is HIGHLY recommended, both GPU and CPU heavy. Don't bother with Rome II though)
Final Fantasy XIV ARR (Of Course)
Divinity: Dragon Commander (Very fun RPG-RTS Hybrid that looks beautiful and is legitimately funny)
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (It's basically Sid Meier's Pirates where you occasionally assassinate people, actually runs awesomely and over 60FPS at 1080)
Tomb Raider (Seriously play this game, why aren't you playing it? PC version runs flawlessly at 1080p at over 60FPS on my rig)
Bioshock Infinite (Looks awesome on the PC)

Any of the Metro games works too I guess.

Finished Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on PS4 (no platinum because F U to AssCreed multiplayer) and 100% on Mutant Mudds Deluxe (Vita).

Moving on to LEGO Marvel Superheroes and Don't Starve (PS4), Beyond Two Souls (PS3), and Tearaway (Vita). Not much going on in the PC space for me these days.
