Murlock Decks are fine, if you are getting rushed down by a Murloc Aggro deck then you might want to work on your board control. Heathstone is a LOT more fast paced than MTG and creature trades are something you have to accept and get used to. Something staying o nthe board for longer than a couple of turns is huge, especially against Warlocks, Priests or Hunters, that EVERYONE seems to play past Rank 9 or so.

Wait until you pass Bronze League and every fucker past then plays nothing but Priest decks. I play a Mage Control/Removal Deck and there's literally nothing I can do against those. My Druid Tempo and Hunter Beast decks fair better but the games take so fucking long I just feel like just instantly leaving and losing my Win Streak if I see a Priest.

And don't get me started about Paladin Decks. If one is running a MTG style "White Weanies" deck then there's nothing you can do against that thanks to whiners getting board wipes nerfed in every patch.

I run into far more mages (I usually run priest mage or rogue) and they are way, way more annoying.


It's murloc warlock specifically that is beyond infuriating. You can NOT play a mid-range or slow deck against them it's nonsense. The last round I played I probably would have been OK except I was drawing all my late game cards while he was dumping all his buff murlocks one after the other, to the point where it didn't matter what I drew there was just no killing them.

Between that and the bullshit amount of CC mage has it makes the game incredibly un-fun at times. Hell, I just played against a priest who was dropping huge - and I mean HUGE minions one after the other starting on T5, and my board consisted of a Novice Engineer, Dalaran Mage and Ogre Magi. But I was basically spamming ice magic each turn while chipping away at his health until I finally got to Turn 7 and just flamestruck his entire board for the win. There was literally nothing he could do about it because Mage is retarded like that.

I don't even have all the really OP shit yet either like Pyroblast or Archmage Antonidas/Malygos. Mage is also infuriating for the same reasons in Arena - it's nothing but bullcrap stall tactics until the big board sweepers hit and then you're screwed since unlike in MTG, creature damage is permanent.


Honestly more than anything I'm sick of being top-decked all to hell. I just went through 12 or 13 straight rounds of Arena on my stream and only did modestly well a few times. I screwed up some plays here and there, including 1 that ended my best Paladin streak and I hate myself for it, but for the most part it was I got hosed from the start, or (and this happens so much i want to break something at times) I have the other guy completely and utterly fucked, absolutely no way out aaaaaaand they top-deck literally the only thing that can save them and turn it around.

Suddenly my entire hand/card/board advantage is overturned and I lose because of the RNG. Doesn't matter that I pretty much outplayed the other guy, 'cause yay for magical bullshit turn arounds not that I've never pulled that myself but it seriously). The worst was from earlier today where the Hunter I was playing against was basically suiciding his board over and over like an idiot and stalling just enough with taunts, chipping away with his damn hero power (they should probably nerf that 1) and finally I got through all his defenses, had way, way more than enough to off him on the board but he top-decked a f'ing flame trap so I died as i went in for the lethal hit.

That kind of crap... -_-

Really wish Arena worked like MTG draft as well, where you keep the cards you run. I feel like the rewards are too low for the cost of entry.

If you hate board removal or getting luck with top decking stuff then you really would not have liked the DiV MTG Multiplayer games that want on at one point XD It was at the point where I had to ask people to tone down the board wipes so people could actually try out a creature deck every one in a while.

To be fair my deck only really had a game plan for dealing with creature decks and sort of fell apart against everything else.

Eh, Board wipe in MTG is a different animal entirely though;

There are ways around it (like regeneration or bouncing critters in response) that don't exist in HS, especially counterspells (and no, Mage's counterspell secret doesn't count) and if the other guy doesn't have taunts you can still just go over the top, smack 'em all to shit and then wipe - can't do that in MTG.

It's not that I haven't adapted to HS's mechanics, I have, I'm just sick of people pulling bullshit on me like 80% of the time - especially when it's the most scrub plays/deck. I have seen so many thrown-together decks (people just adding cards because they think they're good without any real strategy or theme) and it infuriates me to lose to that crap, usually because of bad draws.


For example on my final arena run, I had FOUR Norshire Clerics in the deck - lost 1 game without ever seeing 1. That's some RNG bullshit right there. I also have this ridiculous tendency to get a mind control in my opening hand (sometimes even if i send it away it comes right back) or within the first 2~3 draws. Once in a while, OK sure that's an unfortunate fluke but it happens with entirely too much regularity. I hate to sound like a whiny little bitch but the game just has that effect on me at times. At its core it's a wonderful game and I really enjoy it, I just feel like certain cards and elements need to be addressed (even though I love Mage, I'm finding myself more and more in the nerf camp - Mage really needs to be knocked down a couple of pegs, starting with Pyroblast, Flamestrike and Frost Bolt and possibly Polymorph).

Shaman could use a bit of toning down as well - Overload is NOT a drawback (or at least not as much as it should be).

IIRC the DiV multiplayer games went in the following order: you and I would kill each other, and then somebody would combo everyone else out.
