I'm wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.

Considering it and Demon's Souls were my two favorite games for the PS3, I'm a little sad you didn't get as much enjoyment out of it as I did.

There was a LOT I liked about the game, but you spend so much time simply trying to run back to where you died last that the only reasonable way to play it is to already know what you have to do, which robs you of most of the experience. Something as trivial as placing a bonfire relatively close to the boss rooms would've made the entire game infinitely less maddening without making it any easier.

Finally finished Dark Souls. The insane bonfire placement persisted all the way up to and including the final boss, which was also a really lame boss fight. The ending was about 5 seconds long.

I'm wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.

Well, back to Pokemon Y.They already had incentives for international pokemon - they had increased breeding rates. It's been that way since Gen IV, I think. Did they add something else on top of that?

Gen IV may have had it on DS, but it was mostly undermined by the fact that GTS and Pokecenters were requisite for trades and the games were released months apart in different regions. Everyone having access to the best tools at the same time was a real shot in the arm that made these older changes more prominent and worthwhile.

Wonder Trades also seemed to have helped people spark other manual trades or battles. I've had my share already.

Trying to breed a shiny Eevee. On day 5. On the bright side, I've used the opportunity to finally watch Firefly. Just finished the episode where Malcolm accidentally gets married. I've missed out on so many TV shows as a result of video games. I wonder which will happen first. Shiny Eevee? Or finish watching Firefly?

Also, something that I've always been bothered about Pokemon. I've always wondered why Pokemon League officials were never more involved with the current affairs of the world. As Pokemon-centric as everything in that universe is, gym leaders don't often seem to have any inkling of the seedy activities occurring within their own cities. A group of kids march into Team Flare's HQ and put a stop to their plans. Now imagine if it were the 8 gym leaders. Or even the league champion and the Elite 4 (...or at least the 3 that aren't Team Flare members).

I'm still in the middle of Black (due to indefinitely putting off grinding for the fifth gym), but from what I see, the Gym Leaders of Unova take plenty an interest in the affairs of their world. IIRC, a handful of them even went into the middle of a forest simply because Team Plasma was running amuck in it.

Not that the kid wasn't instrumental in driving them out still, but still.

Play BW1 and 2. The Gym leaders and Elite Four are a LOT more involved. The Gym Leaders even lead the charge against the main villain in BW's final arc.

I meant I'm breeding Eevees while watching Firefly. Riveting gameplay, running back and forth along a path just watching eggs hatch every few minutes. Might as well catch up on TV. Wondering whether I'll finish Firefly first or will I finally get my first shiny in 3 generations of Pokemon?

Is there something X/Y to increase the odds of getting a shiny when breeding? Because last time I checked the chance of shinies is somewhere close to 1 in 10,000.

I think 1/8000 and change is the approx odds of getting a shiny via breeding without the "Masuda Method". Apparently, it was announced on a dev's blog that breeding Pokemon from 2 different countries increases the odds to about 1/1300.

And....I got my shiny Eevee tonight! With only 2 episodes left of Firefly, which I just finished. It's a fine show. Wonder why they stopped it so abruptly. Guess I gotta watch Serenity first chance I get.

EDIT: I got it! I'll nickname my Umbreon "Serenity"! No wait. The crew members consider Serenity to be a woman...ship...woman. "Firefly"'ll have to do.

Hoping that stability patch comes soon and actually makes the other modes of BF4 playable, getting mighty sick of TDM and would like to actually play the modes I enjoy.

Also wtf not a single U.S. East Air Superiority server, ever... come on DICE :/

I could not be bothered with maximizing IVs at all.

Also, finished Serenity.

EDIT: Also, was wondering. There any feature inPokemon X/Y that lets you view the capped stats of your Pokemon? I sometimes thinks it's neat to see how your Pokemon stand up against each other with constant levels. My current lineup is all over the place over 50 right now, though.
