You can play as Richter and Maria in both versions of SotN.

Unless you mean Rondo of Blood? Personally I prefer Alucard's original VA, hammy dialogue or not he sounded a lot better.

I'd like to pick up Beyond: Two Souls but the reviews are all over the place and I can wait for a used copy to show up. Still holding out for a Hearthstone beta key >_< god damn Blizzard's been stingy.

BF4 beta's pretty well run its course for me as well, so really just jumping between FFXIV (really wish SE wasn't being so dickish with the world transfers) and SC2. Just a little over a month to go until PS4!

Pokemon Y in the house! I am loving the amount of oldies you can catch just outside the very first town; got me a Weedle and a Pansage.

I love the art style in Remember Me. The memory remix mode is fantastic, too, and I found the story fairly compelling.

The combat doesn't hold up its end of the bargain though. While the English voice acting is "ok", the French voice cast is outstanding. If you haven't tried it, play it with French audio and subtitles (if you don't understand French natively, that is).

Finished Final Fantasy VIII. Ultemecia got a good dose of Homing Laser, Wishing Star and Lionheart. Oddy I had never unlocked Wishing Star on previous runs. Its basically a mini-Lionheart for Rinoa.

I've had Remember Me on the shelf for the last two weeks because I just can't bring myself to play through another chapter just yet. That's not a mark against the game either, it's just that it's real damn good at what it does and it's difficult to take in large doses without recovery time between play sessions.

In the meantime I've picked up The Witcher, which has been an oddly engrossing experience. It's definitely a flawed game, but it's oddly compelling in a way I can't quite identify. Maybe it's just the siren's call of the stereotyped RPG setting with swords and monsters and magic that I've been away from, but the first play session gripped me for a good 10 hours straight over a weekend. It really is just a game that confuses me because I enjoy it without understanding why I enjoy it.

Been too busy to play much video games, but am almost at the end of a Proud Mode run on Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and just starting in on Re: Chain of Memories HD (sigh stupid card system...).

Also picked up Batman: Arkham Origins for PS3 and Arkham: Blackgate for Vita. Haven't had any time with Origins on PS3 and only a limited time with Blackgate, but it seems to be a capable if unremarkable brawling metroidvania.

                  Coming up:

Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus (PS3) and Tearaway (PSV)

Nothing else coming out until PS4 arrives on Nov. 15 in two weeks, when I'll be picking up Killzone: Shadowfall, Knack, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Battlefield 4, along with downloadable games Contrast and Res0gun.

Yeah I've been playing The Last of Us again, and it's even worse than before...

Doesn't matter if I go into a No Parties lobby or not, I always get stuck on the "newbie" team (myself included) of low level players up against a stacked team of level 80+ people with everything unlocked. I'm so sick of getting picked off by that stupid fucking Bow... there's no balancing at all. No way I'll finish the platinum before PS4 comes out, and I'm not sure I have the stomach to platinum Ni no Kuni or Tales of Xillia.

Hey IM, maybe I'll see you online on Launch day for PS4?

I'm only getting BF4 for now. Killzone and AC4 are tempting but I have to budget myself for a bit (really want to save cash for Black Friday, also job hunting *@^&#@*^@& SUCKS!)

Is Outlast going to be available at launch? That's the other title I really want to get, especially for a LP via Twitch.

Only reason I'm picking up so many launch PS4 titles is because I already have Killzone : Shadowfall, and Target will be doing a buy-2-get-1-free on all next-gen games starting Nov. 11. I figure $120 for 3 games is a worthwhile price.

I'll definitely be around on launch day; picking up my PS4 from GameStop and have a second on delivery from Amazon. Whether PlayStation Network will actually work on launch day is, however, a big question mark (my guess: probably not).

That's interesting... there's a Target by the Gamestop where I'm getting my PS3, maybe I should check 'em out. Sadly nothing from any of the local EB/Gamestops yet in terms of specials. And @ $60 a pop, yeah $10 for 3 games is a steal, damn.

Speaking of doing LPs on PS4, apparently Levelcap is so thrilled with the PS4 version he's gonna be getting it on PS4 as well as PC, which is awesome (for ppl who don't know, he's one of the biggest Youtube stars when it comes to BF, and Gametrailers even dropped his name during their review lol). Hoping to bump into him lol.

Aaaaand crap, Outlast won't be ready at launch. Warframe looks interesting though, didn't know that was an Indie game.

I need an X/Y Legendary killer for random match-ups. All these pre-teen bastards using Xerneas or Yveltal (or both!) in a 3 on 3 match. Anyway, 8/8 badges. Onto the Elite 4!

Also, 7/7 Chaos Emeralds in Sonic Lost World for 3DS. I still think the gyroscope feature was unnecessary and kind of awful to implement. I wouldn't play certain Acts in a public place just because I'd be too self-conscious to be swinging my 3DS all around me just to steer Sonic in the right direction in those Special Stages (which I thankfully never have to do again short of wanting all S ratings).

Choice Band Scizor can OHKO Xerneas with Bullet Punch after Stealth Rock Damage. Forretress can also survive a hit with Sturdy and immediately hit back with Gyro Ball for insane damage.

Pink Blobs, Tyranitar and Terrakion also hard counter Yveltal. Watch out for Focus Blast though. It also has a Stealth Rock weakness so will be losing 25% HP on each switch in.

Picked up Harvest Moon New Beginning, Soul Hackers and Etrian Odyssey 4 from the eShop, and Divinity: Dragon Commander on Steam over the course of the week. Not tried out Soul Hackers or EOIV too much yet because they aren't really the kinds of games I can play in short bursts on breaks. Dragon Commander is awesome and worth every penny. Get it now, it is a great blend of RPG, RTS and Political Simulator with a lot of genuinely funny dialogue and satire.

First Impressions of HM though are not good. It seems very slow paced and looks and feels like a very old DS game, rather than a polished 3DS game. There are also massive framerate issues, there's a lot of tearing and stuttering and this is only in the intro. The game world also seems tiny right now, and I hope that new areas will open up later otherwise this game really does not seem worth it. The character designs are also nothing like what you usually see in the Harvest Moon series. The tutorial is also entirely unskippable. Well you can skip it but there is no point. There is literally nothing you can do until the game arbitrarily decided that you can grow crops. The game also looks horrible, it's like a mobile or original DS game than a 3DS game. There is also an annoying as fuck bleeping noise as text advances that you can't turn off. it gets to the point where you want to turn off the sound to avoid hearing it, and missing out on the really charming music.

They added character customisation though and the music is good, even though sadly there is not a huge variety in it and the sound effects will have you playing the game muted anyway. The main feature of the game seems to be that the whole town layout can be edited by the player. The problem is is that they focus too much on it and the flow of new NPCs is so slow, it just seems like an attempt at cloning Animal Crossing, though harvest moon A New Beginning does seem to do it a little better. The problem is is that it takes an entire month to unlock the edit mode, so you literally have nothing to do until Summer.

Then there's the NPCs, okay they are likeable but dear god they are annoying. Every time you enter town there are unskippable cutscenes of your NPCs, then there's the cutscenes of your cat/dog rounding up animals, that you also can't skip. Sure it's cute the first time, but not the 36th time.

I don't know, it's not looking too good so far. It just seems like a better idea to get an old copy of one of the Mineral Town games on the PS1 or GBA and just playing those, or even finding an old copy of the N64 Harvest Moon, because this really doesn't seem to hold a candle to them.
