  • Re: What games are you currently playing?

Really? The Susano-o fusion has been my only accident in The Answer so far (and I've just beaten ????). I got a bunch of accidents in Persona 4, though. Most of which happened for the Margaret requests. I was frequently unamused.

I really should get Nocturne at some point in the future, as well as getting around to finishing the first Devil Digital Saga.

In Nocturne, accidents are more/less likely depending on moon (well i forget the word right now, but moon works) phase which shifts constantly. At full, the accident rate is extremely low and you can sacrifice a third demon to layer additional skills to the newly fused one.

Its good you played Persona 3 and 4 ahead of it, because Fusion is much more like the gamble it was in P3 in terms of learning skills. Nocturne wasn't as nice as P4 in letting you know what those skills did before accepting the fusion. At least know you'll know what most of these skills do.

I really liked how it told you in advance in P4. It saved many hours of save and reload frustration.

I'm also glad they allowed you to control your party members in P4. Metis is trying my patience in these "Heartful Cry" battles. "Metis! I need you to knock Yukari down while she's stunned!" "Durr, Ima gonna hit Mitsuru insted." She then got charmed and then I died. The end.

Update: Beat the game. Final boss was a jerk, though. As I had Aigis "equipped" with Odin and Junpei is somehow weak to wind, "it" using Magarudyn twice was... it was not a fun time. Especially as I made the mistake of having EVERYONE on Full Assault. If it used it a third time, then a Game Over would have happened.

Strange Journey stepped things up a little since then, adding fusion items to add skills. Level a demon, get an item unique to them to use in fusion.

So yeah, I have an almost-perfect 1st playthrough of ME3 damn it! I didn't miss a thing, got every quest done/event how I would have liked (well, minus not getting Javik early enough thanks to a misleading guide - I thought there were pre-requisite sidequests when just like all the other DLC, you can jump in whenever you want GRR!!!) EXCEPT that I won't be enjoying Kasumi's company in the end, nor will I have the Drell & Hanar on my side thanks to that retarded glitch (which is just 1 among many as I've discovered... god damn Bioware, seriously, FIX, YOUR, SHIT!)

Like the eye-bulge glitch during cinematics, yeah that's real charming.

What I did was obtain inmunity rings from my personas so instead of having them weak to an element they would be immune to it. Good times.

The boss was still a jerk but at least he couldn't exploit weaknesses.

Why the hell would you torment yourself by tracking down all the quests in ME3? The quest structure is the worst thing about that game, its beyond amateur work and you instead obsessing about a couple insignificant war assets?

Seriously, you could not pay me to track down every quest NPC in that game. Its like a team of amateurs made it, probably the same untalented hacks that made some of the past DLC given their idea of Elcor mission is to not touch down on their planet to help save them, but to fly out and touch their planet with the Normandy to save them.

There's an achievement/trophy for it; does he need another reason? Not saying it's a good reason for everyone, but news flash: not everyone plays games the same way you do.

From playing it as far as I have now, ME3 is pretty sloppy compared to 2 - big time. While the combat is arguably the best out of the 3, it falls short everywhere else - ME2 nailed it.

If ME2 was any good it would have MAKO missions, but it isn't.

                          PS > I'll still play it and finish it eventually I guess, unless Steam accepts it back. <_<;

Oooooh. My Persona's never gave me gifts. Well one did, but I can't remember what it was.

Oh yes. If it did exploit weaknesses and then always follow them up with Megidolaon, then it would have been very hard battle (without immunity rings).

Replayed Mass Effect 2, while we're on the subject. Wanted to play it through again now that I have a better grasp of the Mass Effect storyline. Instead of being like:

"Go get Mordin Solus. He's a salarian scientist."
                              Wuts a Salarian?
                              Meet Mordin.
                              Oh, those are Salarians.
A few missions pass without mentioning Salarians in any important context. Even as Mordin is in my squad, it comes up again and again I'm like "Wuts a Salarian?"

Did Miranda's loyalty mission, then put off Jack's up until the Reaper IFF mission which I'm on now. So, this time when they argued, I managed to salvage both loyalties. Of course...putting off Reaper IFF too because Husks freak the crap out of me. Damn moaning zombie creep thingers...

Does it affect those morality points in any way? I'd imagine trying to hoard them to make sure you pass those checks for favorable outcomes later in the game.
