I've been watching some gameplay videos, looks pretty interesting. Once they can get rid of the lag and glitching zombies that mod is going to be killer.

I don't notice much lag. Player movement is a little slow, but it's not detrimental. The zombies are a little out there. They move way too quick, and seem to be aim aware every now and then. Their combat AI and animations could definitely use some work, there's just too much uncertainty in what's happening. They move oddly, so it's hard to tell if they're leaning in for an attack or simply running through you to the other side. It also seems they can attack you from a short distance away, and may attempt to attack when slightly further out than that which results in failed attacks. It makes combat frustrating more than anything. I also feel there aren't enough ways to escape them.

It was written by Lauren Faust (Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home) and Rob Renzetti (2 Stupid Dogs, Dexter's Lab, PPG, Mina and the Count, My Life as a Teenage Robot). Faust is on record stating she wanted to make a girl's cartoon that's actually good. Oh yeah, and it has Tara Strong. Shouldn't be a surprise the end result had broad appeal.

Also consider this: they cast John de Lancie as a Q-like villain for a two-parter and wrapped it up by parodying the Star Wars ep 3 ending. They've also referenced I Love Lucy, The Big Lebowski, Trainspotting, Puff the Magic Dragon, Benny Hill chases, and Looney Tunes anvil/piano drops. That stuff flies way over the target demographic's little heads.

You don't like it, that's cool. It's obvious no show's ever going to appeal to absolutely everyone. I didn't see much appeal in Skyrim, but I'm not knockin' it.

That particular meme committed suicide, Skyrim's still around to be referenced by all. It's not going anywhere, whether I like it or not. My Little Pony isn't going anywhere either. It's pointless to complain about it. It's dumb to expect popular culture to mold itself around your preferences.

Even my office has bronies. Some guy has framed pictures of ponies in his cubicle, but he also has figurines of little Japanime girls. Slightly less creepy people have brony backgrounds on their PCs. It's pretty gross.

I didn't say I had a problem with the show. I don't actively watch it, but its OK.

Let me put this another way. The Rick Roll used to weasel its way into everything, then it finally jumped the shark and busted up a Thanksgiving Day Parade and it wasn't cool to Rick Roll anything after that. Rick Astley took matters into his own hands while bronies jump the shark for the TV show.
