If you haven't tried it yet, check out the WARP Demo. It's pretty cool - might make a good subject for our next podcast as well.

I think anyone from Kingdom Heart but Sora is an interesting character to add to Smash Bros. I choose Aqua.

Which version of DA:O did you get? Because if it was the original version you got hosed on that, look around online to see if the DA:O Ultimate Edition is available anywhere at a local Gamestop. I say this because there's not really a price difference in between DA:O and the Ultimate Edition, which has all the DLC content included in one game. Maybe a dollar or two in difference, but more enough for that version to still qualify as your "free" game. If its been less than 30 days and you still have a receipt, anyway. Any store in the area should honor it.

I spent last night dicking around in Guild Wars with a friend. He went for a Necromancer/Ranger, while I opted to be an Elementalist wielding a war hammer. It was dumb and a lot of fun, but since he also left for the JoCo Cruise Crazy thing today I probably won't keep using the character. Doing dumb and inefficient stuff like that loses some appeal when you don't have a friend with you to laugh at it all.

So instead I finally got around to purchasing Portal today. I've only put in about an hour on it, but so far I'd say it's looking like it'll be worth the $10 I spent on it. The mechanics are just really amusing. I'm not big on puzzle games, but this is probably going to be the exception.

Make sure you take the leap and get Portal 2 when you're finished.

          GLaDOS demands it!

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna stick with Portal. I can justify buying the original because it's both cheap and an important title in gaming history, but a sequel strikes me as something I wouldn't get nearly as much out of.

Nah, its actually a lot better. I'd give it some time before jumping right into Portal 2, though. Its a smart sequel with a lengthier story, but its sort of what Super Metroid is to Metroid. Its the same concept at heart but expanded in several tremendous and creative ways.

I recently played TLoZ: Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, Uncharted 1 - 3, Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2

I just started playing Final Fantasy XI yesterday and am enjoying it somewhat so far though I dont know if I will attempt to play it for an extended period of time or be satisfied with a taste (a month or so)

I plan on picking up Kid Icarus when its released and hope to eventually catch up by playing:

Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest VIII and gamecube games (Zelda/Mario games especially since I never even touched that system..)
I was also curious about the Xenosaga series on ps2.

In the short term I am looking forward to Xenoblade and The Last Story.

In the long run I am looking forward to FF14 (ps3) and The Last of Us.

Where you do get that from, seriously? Just because there's been some particularly bad sequels doesn't mean you should just skip them all. Bordering on circular logic with that statement.

I keep trying to finish RE: Revelations, but but the Punch-Out meets Dark Souls aspect of Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword keeps luring me away. Nintendo's really be on fire with the eShop lately. This is the sort of game that made me love Nintendo back in the arcade as a kid.

Its primarly about watching for attack cues, evading them and striking quickly in response, but it will punish you if you don't remain attentive, kinda like how Super Macho Man or Mr. Dream or Mike Tyson would clobber you if you missed a beat. Well except instead of obnoxious racial stereotypes the style of the game is almost a Wind Waker-esque Feudal Japan.

Also, I may be skipping RE: ORC in favor of Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure. its just too quirky to pass up.

Its Professor Layton meets Elite Beat Agents, but after looking at some fo the stages its music kind of has that same infectious charm that Space Channel 5 had. Its really nice to see 3DS finally hitting its stride and starting to deliver the kinds of games that made the DS so special.

Because I don't particularly care for puzzle games personally, but Portal is good enough and brief enough that it won't end up irritating me. What is so hard to understand about this? Too much puzzle game makes for a grumpy Cid, while a bite sized clever game offers just enough to keep it interesting for me without wearing out its welcome. Jesus, it's not like I'm saying Portal 2 is a bad game, just that I personally wouldn't get much out of it.

That doesn't make sense at all, you're prejudging a sequel that you've not played while asserting what was done can't be done better for a longer period of time. Portal 2 us eight hours at the longest and actually stays compelling and keeps mixing things up for its entirety. It's still over before you know it.

But hey, close your mind if you want and miss out on a better game. Even the co-op is a good time.

Stop taking it so personally that I know my own tolerance for puzzle based gaming. God you're infuriating.

                              http://www.destructoid.com/a-preside...l-222187.phtml

                              The world is in balance.

Balance. The opposite of ruin. The result of all things being in perfect harmony.

But this balance didn't happen by accident. No, not by any means. The world we live in -- from Figaro to the Veldt -- is in balance because of me. Leaders like me are the reason everything around you is in perfect order.

On this President's Day, let's all take a moment to honor the greatest leader this world has ever seen. A leader that has brought protection to a world on the brink of destruction. A leader that has silenced the creatures that have sought to bring chaos to our world. A leader that has created balance.

On this day, let's celebrate ... me.

Citizens of the world, hear my words.

When I was a child living in the great city of Vector [hold for applause], I always knew I wanted to one day be Emperor of this great land.

As I stroked my great white moustache at the age of six, I thought about all the wonderful things I could do for this world.

                              Rid the world of Espers.

Capture a young Esper girl and force her to become my slave.

Seek to kill all those who disagree with me. [start anti-Returners propaganda PowerPoint]

Hire a loyal mage that in no way would ever lie to me about the death of my most successful General, and never even consider betraying me by striking me down with lightning and tossing me over the edge of a cliff.

So far, I have done all of this ... but my greatest accomplishment is yet to come. In mere hours, I shall raise a mighty continent into the sky. A glorious floating continent that will oversee all the mighty mountains and vast seas.

You may ask: Why a floating continent? What will that achieve?

To that, I answer: If you have to ask, you must be a Returner and will be put to death immediately.

Look to the clouds, citizens of the Empire! Look to the sky and see what a true Emperor can achieve!

We stand at the dawn of a new age! The future of the World of Balance is now!

                              Today ... is ... President's Day!

                              [hold for standing ovation]

                              Slave crowns for everyone!

Just beat Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Great game. Now playing Paper Mario. This game gets a lot of stuff right but also manages to be irritating in a lot of ways.
