I assure you, 75% of the people playing don't even know who Jennifer Hale is, nor do they care.

They don't have to know her name to know she does an excellent job with the voice acting on female Shepard.

But does having Felicia Day help sell your DLC? Is having big actors on board for TOR expansions really a bright idea when story is all that's selling your MMO when it should be gameplay content?

Who knows? If it doesn't work out, you can be assured they won't go that route again, because these guys hate losing money.

AJ LoCascio voiced Marty McFly, not Micheal J. Fox, save for a bit part in Episode 5.

I'm aware (since MJF's involvement was much-ballyhoo'd in Ep 5). It was still a nice touch (particularly since the entire series is an all-or-nothing purchase).

But in the end, they are all replaceable. Nice if you can get the big actors, but totally not needed or a deal breaker.

As for Soul Calibur V... not digging it. Story mode is extremely short and even more nonsensical than usual, even for a Soul Calibur title. Gameplay is pretty much Soul Calibur IV all over again. I don't like the new character creator. There's way more body shape/feature options, but waaaay less clothing/accessory options. All in all, it's fair to call it a rushed title. There's a lot of content that "should" be there, but isn't. This game needed another 6 months in the incubator. The roster itself feels weak, and the new characters are yawntastically bad. Maybe this ragtag bunch of new Shonen Jump rejects makes games more appealing in Japan, but they're just annoying to my American sensibilities.

I still ahve to beat FFXIII before I can play FFXIII (that an not buying it till it drops to about 30ish) but before I play FFXIII I have to finish Enchanted Arms..... and well I just got Soul Calibur V

It is "bad" I will admit that... but I enjoy enough of the little things to see the game through to the end (in the fastest way possible that is) Hell I liked Deadly Premonition.... I have a habit of liking some of the worst games.... ;p

The thing that mostly keeps me playing TOR is that I have a very awesome guild that I have been playing MMOs with over the years to play it with. I think if I didn't have a guild to form groups with, I'd just go play any other single player Bioware game if I wanted to play one of their RPGs. I've not played Baldur's Gate for a while and I can get it from GOG for cheap.

Syndicate will NOT be using an online pass -Destructoid

So EA puts online passes in an unproven new RPG franchise that is single player only and then turns around and decides not to put an online pass in Syndicate, which is just as much about the co-op as it is single-player because they feel it would help the game.

"We want as little resistance or barriers to entry as possible," executive producer Jeff Gamon told Eurogamer . "The co-op is equal billing in this. We wanted everyone who owns a copy of the game to have access to the entire product."

Of course, the last time EA had someone saying anything about "barriers of entry" we got Dragon Age 2, which was dumbed down beyond belief. Could be the game is just bad and they want to make sure they can actually sell it. I've not played the demo yet, but sadly its an online-only demo so things can actually end quickly depending upon when you enter the game.

I'll try it at least.

Actually, that makes sense in a wierd way. In my world, MP games tend to not be purchased used as much as SP games. For me, if I don't get in there early on a MP game (say... CoD), than I have pretty much missed the boat because by the time I would have picked it up used, no one will be playing MP anymore. But a SP game... You can pick that up any time and it will still have the same "value" as it did on release day.

When I look at my bookshelf, all my SP games are used and all my MP games are purchased new and on day 1. Crazy.

Yeah, it seems like an olive branch, but then so does SSX - a game that lets anyone play multiplayer, but deprives them of all earned tokens (used to unlock other things) as if to say "thanks for playing and by the way, fuck you."

I think part of the gesture here really entails that they kind of screwed the pooch in the same way the XCOM reboot did - they took something that was a strategy game and turned it into a first person shooter. Because, you knew, just reboot it for the kids and screw what older players want.

2k is still on for the XCOM FPS, but thought it wise to develop a proper XCOM that the fans wanted as well. EA and Starbreeze just kept on with the FPS despite backlash.

Yeah I'm contemplating giving it another whirl now that the full game is out. I also want to re-sub to XIV soon though...

I got Master of Time (Platinum Trophy) for XIII-2, and it's now back at the rental store. See the other thread for my rant of supreme hatred on the subject, but basically SE witheld the game's full ending to promote DLC to prolong the game over an extensive period of time. Not cool SE, very not cool.

Back on Vesperia for now, I'm only missing 3 titles, all of which I'll have shortly then I just need to do the speed run and Vesperia Master will be mine

A couple hours into RE: Revelations or as my boxart calls it "Revelaitons." Yep, I got a first run misprint, that means its worth lots of money. I also got a weird lenticular black RE-Themed shell for the 3DS as a pre-order bonus.

The game essentially flows like this:

Jill gets all the scary and restrictive environments full of puzzles and ammo-sponging enemies. She also gets a useless partner, but at least Parker doesn't use up your stuff.

Chris gets the all the wide-open cowboy shoot outs with a slightly more potent partner than Jill.

Parker is Jill's partner. He's a portly fellow with a fancy accent and that's about all there is to him so far. Jessica is who Chris is saddled with. She's whiny, but is about as good with guns as she is fashionable. Everyone else would wear something practical to an arctic region but Jessica apparently wanted to look like she just came out of a photo shoot.

All in all, so far I like the alternating flavors of gameplay here. JIll is survival horror and Chris is action. Something for everyone here.

In the mean time, Bastion. Grabbed it for 600 MSP, would have been worth the 1500 as it is very fun. Lots of weapon combinations with fast-paced game-play, which can get quite hectic if you choose to invoke the Gods (Basically Halo 3's skulls).

Not to mention that narrator... who sounds suspiciously like the Fallout 3 narrator.
