Just checked to see if I could input that code I got with my used copy of Portal 2.

Sweet, it went through. Now I can play it on my laptop... well... if this laptop can run it anyway. From here on out I buy all Valve games new, though, because I like the deal the have going with PS3 and they treat their customers well.

I have a feeling this thing would run DOTA2 and TF2 better than Portal 2, though.

Was at Gamestop today and bought Sonic Generations on a whim. Anybody ever buys a Sonic game hoping that this will be the one that will be as good as Sonic 3 and Knuckles? Well, fleetingly amusing as this game, this is not the one...

You know, back in the day, I swore to it that the Sonic games were superior to the Mario games.

You get to play Sky Sanctuary Zone. That's like the best of Sonic 3 & Knuckles right there. If there's one thing I miss from Sonic 3 it's the insta-shield though.

I hear the console version is better though. Personally, I'm not much of a console player anyway and have mostly been sticking to hand helds. Much more convenient to play at work when nobody is looking.

Tried Forsaken World... bad interface, so uninstalled it.

Linage II just went F2P, so trying that now. Given its the game FFXI was most compared to I probably won't find it is finicky, I imagine.

Deciding if I want to get back into XI or not now with 99 coming.

Finished Skyward Sword 3 or 4 nights ago, still playing Deus Ex HR for a couple last achievements as well. Soon as I get around to it I'm gonna go rent either Assassin's Creed Revelations or Uncharted 3.

Wish Diablo 3 or SC2: HotS was out already but I know Blizzard's taking their time for good reason


Halo: CEA was mildly entertaining. I still haven't tried multiplayer yet, but the campaign as as fun as ever. Some of the easter eggs were just awesome, though I was severely disappointed that they didn't change the game's ending to coincide with a certain easter egg you see very early in the game - especially since they're trying to keep the games and books in lockstep with each other now (or so Frankie claims).

If Deus Ex Human Revolution spawned the most memes this year for a western game, I think Rhythm Heaven Wii probably garnered the most tributes for one game from Japan:

I give DX:HR bonus points for being only the 3rd installment in a relatively obscure series (outside of PC gamers) and managing to be such a great success - Skyrim was a freaking given.

Ambiguous endings are ambiguous for a reason.

If they want to do a direct sequel, there's no stopping them from using him again. If they want it to stand alone as a prequel, he can be dead. The important point of Adam is he's now the Genesis of everything that happens in Deus Ex.

The original game would be hard to play without mods these days, DX2 you can at least look at without getting a migraine.
