I've tried to play it a few times, but I never get that interested in it. One day I'll try again.

Just keep in mind it's kind of long. Took me a bit under 80 hours, no grind.

Finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution on GmDE difficulty. Now for some quick trophy cleanup on Easy now that the hard part is done, then on to some strategy gaming on my PSP with Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (seriously, this has to be the stupidest game title I've seen in years... >_>)

Blame Freddie Mercury and the rest of Queen for the titles Tactics Ogre games get. Matsuno is a big Queen fan. Look forward to Tactics Ogre: Bohemian Rhapsody in the future!

I still think R-Type Tactics 2: Operation: Bitter Chocolate gets the crown for "Most stupid game title."

Xenogear's card game ate my life. But yes, very long. I still remember the hilariously broken character you get at the end of the game, too.

I didn't know that character was so good. Never put the time into leveling it, there's just too other likeable characters and only 3 party slots D:

That's because I completely forgot how to spoiler stuff on FFXIO. LOL. But it's vague enough.

Yeah about that...

As for Chu-Chu, once you get the physical limiter removed on her, she can balloon to mech size and heal your mechs >_>

Eh, she's not as broken as you make her out to be.

No one holds a candle to Citan, except possibly Cid in FFT in terms of most OP PC. Especially if you equip him with the speed belt or w/e. On my last playthrough I had Citan getting a turn literally every second or less. He can get THAT FAST!


Unfortunately by that point you're pretty much fighting exclusively in gears.... Also, what card game? The only card game I remember was in the Xenosaga games.

Being the only character with healing abilities is kind of a big deal.

I honestly didn't know how to optimize my characters in Xenogears. A lot of the stats and abbreviations were a complete mystery, and it seemed to me some things never made sense (e.g. Fei's spells always did equal or less damage than his physical attacks for me.) I should GameFAQs that shit and do another run trying to break the game just to see what happens.

Considering that the other gears can only heal by defending, can only heal themselves, and they get waaaay less back? Plus the final battle is in gear mode, so Citan's ultra-goodness becomes less of an advantage there.

This is what I get for posting at oh-dark-hundred-AM. Scrambled brain cells. Xenosaga 1 had the card game. Xenogears simply had the endless unskippable cutscenes. :/

So I'm doing Mass Effect 2 as a sort of follow-up to DX:HR as I'm still wanting some Sci-fi before I dive headlong into the fantasy and sadism of Demon's Souls.

For the most part its been really good... but I guess this is just because I've been doing DX, but even if it was Metal Gear, Goldeneye or Splinter Cell its pretty obvious Bioware didn't read up on how to do a stealth mission because Kasumi: Stolen Memories is about a subtle as a sledgehammer:

- Excuse me, let me hack this door right in front of everyone.
- Anyone notice that the door to the security room is wide open now? NOPE!
- What's that noise going on inside the security room? Totally not Shepard's heavy pistol fire and security guards dying in there!
- We got the voice print from Hock! Quick, Kasumi use your 1337 CoolEdit skills to construct the password he never spoke out loud to fool the security systems!
- Kasumi, hack the cameras so they don't see we were here! They totally won't figure someone was here with all those corpses of security guards we left upstairs and in the bedroom!
- You found some cool weapons in the vault, say it really loud! I don't think the people on Mars can hear you!
- Oh man, Hock knew we were really going to break in all along. Now I will hear his Bond villain plans for us!

I just sort of hope the other DLC missions included on the disc don't break my suspension of disbelief this badly.

Lair of the Shadow Broker totally makes up for Kasumi's Stolen Memories. The other DLC is just as forgettable, though. At least Kasumi's mission gives you a cool pistol that doesn't suck.

Well, yeah, the pistol is my new favorite. It pretty much shreds anything you point it at.

That and my FemShep got a nice dress out of it, even if she walks in heels like a man, but she was doing that before the heels. Still, better duds for walking around the Normandy that the defaults.

I will admit, Mass Effect does deliver on the whole Star Trek feel of organizing a crew while the rest feels a bit more like Star Wars, closest game outside of that was actually Infinite Space, which went full-tilt on Star Trek-like space battlers and crew/ship building. I rather like that sort of thing.

BRB, mining the shit out of our solar system with probes.

Ever played the first? ME is definitely one of those games that require the prequel to fully enjoy, in my opinion. Well, disregarding the whole "Carry your character into the next game" thing, anyway.

Project Overlord DLC you can skip... but I'unno. I kind of liked it for the music and atmosphere alone. Mostly because I did not expect that atmosphere. Still, not worth the full price. Wait for the obligatory sale near ME3 release. Also,

PROBING URANUS

The PS3 version has a motion comic synopsis (Cerberus Network download only, herp de derp) that recaps the original game and allows you to make the most critical choices of that particular game just after the opening to ME2.

I'm sure I'm missing some of the nuances of the original story, but not much else otherwise. I understand what's going on and that's really all that matters.

I'm more interested in seeing how many people I can lose at the end of the game than take the boring route everyone else did and try to keep everyone alive. I'll keep the ones I like and the rest can die. Or maybe I can let them all die. I haven't decided yet.

I'm letting Jacob and Miranda die, that's all I'm sure of. Jacob's boring and Miranda's just too much of a bitch for my liking. Maybe I'll let Jack kill her if that's an option open to me. I like Jack better in a bald-headed, over-tattooed Angelina Jolie kind of way (minus all those adopted kids).
