Just finished a Hardcore difficulty playthrough on Dungeon Siege III. Not really sure why this is getting such mediocre reviews. It's not the best game ever, and it's a bit short for an RPG (maybe ~8 hours), but the game is pretty, the engine is stable, and there's a ton of really nice improvements in user interfaces. For instance, it has the best inventory management system I've seen in quite some time. Inventory space is somwhat limited (somwhere around 80 slots or so?), but you can compare items against what you're currently wearing to see if you want to trash them, and trashing an item in your inventory produces a moderate amount of gold as well (not as much as you'd get from a shopkeeper, but you probably won't miss the difference).
