Have been playing inFamous and Wipeout: HD/Fury (Thanks Welcome Back Program!)

I'm addicted to searching for blast cores. D: Doing my first play through as a good guy, and may either go back as evil or wait until I get inFamous 2 for the evil bout.

I'll probably either start Uncharted or Bioshock after I finish with inFamous.

The Rockhound trophy for getting all 350 blast shards in inFamous 1 is a pain in the neck. Seriously suggest keeping track of your total count on each island and making sure you clear each one completely before advancing the storyline and going to the next island.

Shard count per island, in case you're curious:

Neon: 147*
Warren: 135
Historic: 68

* You can only pick up 146 of the 147 on the first island before advancing. There is one shard way out on the northeast side of the map in the water that you need the aerial thruster ability to reach, and you get that shortly after reaching the Warren district island.

Also note that you get perks for earning some trophies in inFamous 2.

50% of all blast shards = +1 extra energy core at the start of the game
100% of blast shards (Rockhound) = +2 energy cores at the start of the game
Finished inFamous 1 (any karma standing) = +1000 XP
Finished inFamous 1 (good ending) = Optional beginning with 1 level of good karma
Finished inFamous 1 (evil ending) = Optional beginning with 1 level of evil karma

I got my first Plat Trophy in the 1st game, so yay for all trophy bonuses! :D

Morrigan and Sten have some interesting conversations as well, since Sten is completely stuffy and Morrigan isn't.

I think you're a little late on the Demon's Souls boat. The game had a lot more co-op and invasions going on back when it was new. Now, you're not likely to see a soul sign or have somebody invade your game. Those were some of the defining experiences.

From what I can tell, there are still plenty of other people playing the game.

I just haven't gotten back to actually being alive yet and as I understand it, you can't be invaded while you're a soul. The Atlus USA forum for the game still seems fairly active.

I've done almost all of the first level... at least I think so. Its just there's this bridge with the dragon that swoops in and then another path where I think that same dragon is chilling with another dragon on a rocky cliff. These don't seem like places I can go yet. Well, I did try the bridge because I figured what deadlings I couldn't reach the dragon would incinerate while trying to get me.

Then there's this path with a red-eyed knight with a lance. He seems immune to physical attacks and I don't have magic yet. I need to do whatever it is I have to do to level up to get magic at all.

And I think I missed a thief's ring or something, which I want so I can collect more souls.

The dragon on the bridge is the required path. The red-eyed knight is just too high a level for you, at the moment. The Thief's Ring requires you to jump off an unmarked ledge onto an area below it, where you meet Ostrava, or whatever his name is, for the first time. The other two dragons, guarding the cliff, can be killed in the later stages of the world.

The other two dragons, guarding the cliff, can be killed in the later stages of the world.

To expand on this, you have to be wearing light armor and sprint across the bridge as fast as you can once the dragon passes by with its insta-death flames. Wearing heavy armor will more likely than not cause you to run out of stamina before you reach safety (and thus death).

That, or just take the armor off. It's easier to run while holding it than while wearing it. Chances are you can sustain at least one hit, with or without armor.

Not a smart idea on the second part, where you've got a swarm of archers at the end of your run who will turn you into a pincushion if you don't stop at precisely the right spot.

Working on my Evil run now, and I gotta say I am VERY happy. Holy crap they fixed it this time around so that you aren't totally screwed with the Evil powers.

In the 1st game, the Good powers generally trumped most or all of the Evil ones but this time it's fairly balanced. The 1st grenade power for Evil, Double Grenade, is freaking insane - It's soooo much easier killing the Ravagers with it. Stickies worked decently too, but the double really piles on the damage.

They REALLY should have put in some tutorial fights though for the bigger enemies. It took me forever to figure out how to kill the Ice Crushers, omfg (Rockets FTW).


Really hoping we get a 3rd game.

Well, I decided to give Hunter a try since Thief wasn't doing much for me in Demon Souls. Got past the dragon this time and took down Phalanx so now I can talk to The Monumental about... something. I don't exactly know what the game wants to be to do aside from go to the top and I just got lost for a bit.

Gonna take a break, pick up Zelda OOT3D and do the father's day stuff. I'll figure out what's next later.

getting close to the end of Shadows of the Damned, its been a fun ride so far, I rather like how the story was done. Not too many cutscenes, most of it delivered as you travel but every now and again you come upon a book with some backstory to a particular boss and it can be a bit funny.

Finished Hyper Dimension Neptuna, was fun, a bit perverted.....but fun. Now working on Fear 3, loving it so far, but I guess I am starting to get used to these types of games, it does not scare me much anymore. I still get those "oh @%#$" moments though ;p

Used my powerup rewards card at gamestop to snag me Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks for 19.99 (total that is) so I will give those games a go as well at some point.
