I'm going to import the Japanese version of SFIV but I kinda spent too much lately, and with the dollar going up for us I don't think I'll buy it till at least May or so (along with AC complete I guess)

I like both Ken and Ryu, but somehow I always gravitate towards Ken (all my MNK WS macros are his Super/Hyper Combos lmao!)

I think it's the fire. That and Ken's attacks just seem more fluid if that makes any sense... Ryu is the stronger fighter but his move set just seems so stiff. A really good Ken player can chain all 3 of his Hypers for an unbreakable death (you can't do jack shit about it once it's begun)

Star Ocean 4.

It's proving to be a really great game, for me anyways. The battle system is fun, but my real interest lies in the story. It just seems to draw a person in, like a good book. There were a few parts I didn't like thus far, but everything else has been great.

J/K, i remember when me and my friends used to play Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and we all had our own squads of characters we'd pick.

My friend had the Shotokan Krew: Ryu, Ken, Akuma
I had Corner Lock: Iron Man, Akuma, and Cable
And Level 3: Hayato, Dan, and Akuma because they all had level 3 supers. I threw Dan into the squad because he was random as hell, and I liked his Taunt Super.

SFIV comes with Japanese and English options regardless of region.

Acting like the dubs in P3 and P4 are bad, someone dropped you on your face didn't they?

P4's voices are kinda decent (and certainly better than FES') but they are simply no match for the japanese voices.

And from P3 only Aki-senpai and Jun voices were decent enough. All the rest failed so bad...

And horrorific mention goes to Ken for his crappy annoying voice.

But the Aggravation of the decade goes without doubt to Aegis. They killed the potentially best character with the worst dubbing I've heard in a really long time.

Really, they should make these voice "actors" watch a few hundred hours of anime before they are allowed to dub anything, so at least they have an idea of how is done. Specially for characters that aren't ordinary like in Aegis' case.

Totally. After all, Japan is the only country with good voice actors and listening to people speak Japanese really helps you with those English voiceovers.

Or you just totally ignored the growth of the character. You know, being an android growing into having emotions starts out kinda deadpan (See Data of Star Trek: TNG). By the end of the game and The Answer, she had one of the warmest voices in the game.

So I think you just do a poor job of discerning things like that.

There are some things where the localization is just so poor it's unbearable. I refuse to listen to Azumanga Daioh's english dub. It's painful. Same with Haruhi. On the other hand, there are things that sound damn good dubbed. Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop come to mind.

So does Persona 3. Ray, maybe you just don't know what crappy Japanese voice acting sounds like. Maybe anything in the language sounds good to you. But for the love of god, stop sucking Japan's cock. It's getting annoying.

Febar I've said this waaay many times before, this isn't about Japanese being better than other languages, but about original vs crap-o-dubs. I've said the exact same things about Hollywood movies dubbed in spanish (and also Japanese), so no, that's not it.

I think you are right, Brent Spiner would've done a much better job dubbing Aegis. o_O

Although I'll have to agree the actress did a little better job in the Answer, but that's more about the actress being able to act normally (without forcing herself to act something she maybe couldn't understand) rather than character growth if you ask me.
