My son will not shut up about that game. I have it installed but haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

Currently playing Awakening to kill some time.
Though I've started thinking about going back to EVE online. <_<;sigpic

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Started another Mass Effect series playthough, this time as a hardcore renegade infiltrator, but the renegade dialog has so many douchebag prick lines I got sick of myself before I got off the Citadel.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
First play through on Valkyria Chronicles. Loving it so far, reminds me of Vandal Hearts.
As for ME2, I'm the same with Renegade. I have all the best intentions to play a royal shit and end up caving because the negative speech choices always sound too much like a butthurt teenager.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
VC is one of the best strategy games, ever. Takes on racism in the most tasteful manner I've ever seen a game attempt.
Doing decently on TLR, running 5 unions of 3 right now. Kinda weak as it means low HP, but major offense :D
Must have spent like 2 hours trying to take down that 1 stupid side boss Validus before rage quitting though. I swear that thing is even more bullshit than FF9's Ozma. If SE ever tries to make another game like TLR, I sincerely hope they do away with Battle Rank in favor of a traditional EXP & Growth system - everything else was fine, just fix the way characters get stronger (that and lolUnreal Engine, horrid loading times on the textures wow.)

Re: What games are you currently playing?
After a week of playing Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and getting sick of people with laggy connections light attacking me to death, I set all my online challenges to 30 second rounds. I figure this cuts out a lot of time where someone else's connection could fuck up a match and also if you're really good then you don't need the full 99 to prove it.
I also find I get fewer matchups with hado/shouryuken-spammers this way, which means I get to face people actually learning their characters.
Seriously: Ryu, Ken, Dan, Akuma, Sagat, Gouken and Sakura - for the most part its the same damn move set. And now they're adding "Oni" to Arcade Edition which is just a slightly different version of Akuma. Really? We couldn't get Elena or some of the other SFIII guys in here?
That aside I am enjoying getting reacquainted with Chun Li, Guile and I'm taking a shine to Dudley.
I did get a Spotpass update from Capcom today for SSFIV, they sent out a code for a level 7 Blanka figure for battling. Cute.
I was gonna grab up another 3DS game this week, but it looks like SSFIV 3D and Samurai Warriors Chronicle are going to keep me more than occupied for a while and Samurai Warriors is set to get its first SpotPass DLC level soon. Nice thing about Spotpass is all you have to do is enable the feature once in-game and it does the downloading for you in standby mode in its cradle when you're not playing.
In other words, a feature Sony wants you to pay for on PS3 Nintendo does for free on 3DS. Seems like Nintendo is also discouraging paid DLC - a trend I wholeheartedly support. So far it seems to be only something TK is working with, as SWC and Dead or Alive Dimensions are the only DLC games I know of, but even so that's shows a bit of promise for the future of the system.
One of the SWC updates seems to hold the co-up feature I wanted, too.
Splinter Cell is set to drop next week for 3DS, but Ghost Recon has left me a tad uneasy. Not to say Ghost Recon Shadow Wars is bad or anything - its quite good - but it seems Ubi Soft left things untested and while the game isn't wireless-enabled there's some bug that toys with it and triggers a BSOD on the 3DS. So there's some software/firmware conflict with that game.
It can be avoided by turning the wireless function off, but then you don't know if your friends are online or not, what they're playing and all that. So I'm saving this one for a rainy day after the next firmware update happens.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Borrowed Shadow of the Colossus from a friend a few weeks ago and finally decided to play it. I just finished it and I regret spending 7 hours of my life on such a game.
Also tried out The 3rd Birthday. Not enjoying it at all. The gameplay is pretty generic third person shooting and the once awesome Aya Brea is now some bitch that's seconds away from breaking into tears at all times.
I'm still going to try and finish it and just hope it gets better at some point.
