Finally got around to playing more Recettear.

Tactics Ogre, Radiant Historia and Zelda:OOT are the current rotation.

did some trade-ins and picked up Ys 1&II Chronicle. Dunno when I'll get around to it. TO and RH are pretty absorbing and so is Zelda. Though the water dungeon sucked, which is something I don't remember about the experience, I think the last time I played OOT was eight or ten years ago.

I do wear sunglasses over my glasses but only because I can't afford those fancy-schmancy transition lenses and contacts seem to not work well with me. But sunglasses over sunglasses is just crazy talk.

Here's the collector's set for Ys I&II Chronicle:



Kinda wish I had gotten the set for Ys III, but eh, I can still get it for Ys Seven whenever I get around to that.

I know for all my complaining about NGP not being BC it seems silly that I keep buying UMDs, but therin likes the problem with digital distribution - it doesn't come with extras like fancy boxes or CDs. CD has 26 selections in total from both games.

My Okamiden preorder bonus is a Celestial Brush stylus and an art cloth. Radiant Historia came with studio recorded piano selections. And then there's the tarot cards from Tactics Ogre I showed a few pages back.

Dunno what Dissidia Duodecim is coming with, but I hope its better than cardboard slipcases from last time.

Also, if you're curious what this the collection of these two games entail, its more or less the remakes that were made in 2001 with some lens flare, light sourcing and new art stills added. Additionally on top of the original chiptune sound track and the first remake's "Complete" soundtrack, there's the "Chronicles" soundtrack.

The game modes are "Complete" and "Chronicles" which changes which versions art will be presented in-game. one's a bit more old school D'n'D and the other is more anime.

Otherwise, its a fairly different experience from Ys III on PSP. Seems in the old days on PC and Sega Master System that Adol did combat by just running at monsters and bumping into them at particular angles. The TurboGrafix and DS versions of these games did not feature this (though the DS version enabled it if you used the stylus to control Adol), as they were versions done by Hudson and Interchannel respectively, not Falcom. The PC and SMS versions by Falcom featured this "bump" system and that's what the PSP version is going with

Dunno how I feel about that, but I guess I'll see when I get around to actually playing it more.

They may as well, they got four of seven installments now. I still need to pick up Seven. I still haven't played much of YsIII, but I can tell that when I get around to them I'm going to like them.

Finished Zelda: OOT a couple days ago, went out and picked up Wind Waker and some GameCube accessories to finally get over that little hump to backward compatibility.

Now I'm halfway through Wind Waker

Finished Dead Space 2 and Sweet Home (NES game) Accout to start on Castlevania Lords of shadow, and of course started playing FFXI again ;p

Oh and over the past week I have been introducing Arcade games to my little nephew, so me and him have beaten the two Turtles games for Arcade. I am having a hard time finding games for him though, so far it seems 2 button side scroll games are his limit at the moment.
