Do you mean Player vs. Player?

I haven't played "Rose Online," haven't heard of it either, but Final Fantasy XI is not known for its PvP content. Yes, there's Ballista, and next week we're getting a new type of PvP called Brenner, but the bulk of what you do in Final Fantasy XI is PvE, between leveling up, missions, quests, and end-game stuff.

Rose is basically Ragnarok Online, only bad, and 3D.

FFXI has balista battles and few more forms of PvP. They are kinda like a sport tho not really war. And you won't get to participate until quite later levels.

If you want PvP, play WoW. Like was said above, FFXI isn't about PvP. It's more of a timekiller and stress reliever than a norm. PvP in FFXI takes not only too much time to prepare to be considered PvP, but also too much time to play to be remembered as PvP.
Maybe you would wanna play DoA-Online...
