My friend get into the Beta 3 phase of the game ^^
he posted a review in thai, I want to share it here too so here it is.
The game is registered via POL just like FFXI, and you need content ID to play.
Unlike FFXI tho, this game doesn't concentrate much on levelling.
The time needed is much shorter than FFXI.
In fact, levelling up almost affect nothing at all when you go to war.
The 6 continent 6 nations. Your char will have to be in 1 of them.
Connection map. There are each nation's zones and the zone between them.
The system, as I understand, you pick your job
and your status/HP/MP will remain the same.
Levelling up will only grant you attack/defense.
And the first job available has no healer @@;;
so this game sure supports a lot more soloing style.
You can go level in everyzone and you can't attack other players normally.
When players decided to capture a zone,
that is when the zone is set to "war" mode.
All players of the offending and defending nations will recieve
a message about the war that starts so they can go
participate in it if they wish.
war time is limited to 1 hour. far away players are turned into dark stick figures.
The polygons are pretty low in this game, SE really did their homework to
try support large scale battle.
battle usually starts with players seizing and mining "crystal."
similar to starcraft, you need crystals to build base and summon units.
each player can mine 20 units of crystals which is about enough to buld a bullding.
summonning needs 40 crystal so more than 2 players will have to share.
the war ends when 1 side destroy the other's base.
the above screen shot, they are attacking a gun tower.
when you summon monsters, you actually take total control of it @.@;; looks pretty neat.
war usually ends in 25-30 minutes.
And players will gain rank points and exp from joining the war.
There is no level restriction for each battle field,
but there is a rank requirement.
once you get higher rank, some zones won't let you join the battle anymore.
That's about all the cool part he posted.
The cool part is how the game doesn't sound time consuming at all ^^b
But there's not much sense of community as I heard. Not much story,
nor need to party.
I'm really excited to import this game now lol. surely will import it once it comes out.
EDIT - here's his original thread, in thai @@; more screenshots tho if you want to see
