According to some sources, major game stores have received a date for their now infamous "Second Shipment" of Xbox 360 consoles. The date actually falls the day after thanksgiving. Which is a lot better than the previous early to mid December for those who reserved but will be left jonesing for it after the first wave of shipments.

This would be nice for people that won't be in on the first shipment but somehow I doubt it will be that quick. Seems to be more in Microsoft's interest for them to keep people drooling and build up publicity and then BAM have another shipment mid December. That would probably guarantee another sellout. And it just sounds more like what MS would do. LOL But lets keep our fingers crossed for an after turkey shipment!

I agree with TGM. I highly doubt it, but I sure as hell hope its true. I really wouldnt be able to mess around with it much until the weekend anyway.
Geez, still havent finished ff7, just got chrono trigger today, and now the 360. The universe has conspired against me to never get a job to 75. ><

Yeah i can just hope for the turkey day ship ment to happen but just like TGM and Caspian are saying. I think theyll do it for mid dec. for the high demand for x-mass.

Ofcourse, wouldnt a day at the mall on the day after Thanksgiving be fantastic? A few thousand people all trying to buy a t-shirt at a dollar off regular price. Sounds like fun to me.
Maybe we'll find something official out in the next day or two.

It would be cool if we heard something tonight, but I'm not expecting MS to say anything atleast until tomorrow, probably Wednesday.

EDIT: The only thing that would make Friday plausible is that its the biggest shopping day of the whole year. If you want gauranteed sold units (not that they wouldnt be anyway) then thats the day to do it.

That's the only reasoning I can see for it too. I really hope it's true cause this weekend is primetime/perfect for me to break in the new system. And it's frustrating knowing I've had this reserved for months but not since May ; ;

I'm curious to see how many families end up settling with the core system just for the sake of getting it day one for their kiddos. Hell, i'm curious to see how many core systems actually sell. The core system is fine, if you have no intentions of going online but if you do, then you're really screwing yourself by getting it ; ;

I received an email from Microsoft today in which the following statement was at the bottom

Keep checking with your local retailer for new Xbox 360 shipments-more will be arriving every week.

So techinically one could say Microsoft may be trickling the systems into the market a little at a time. Of course, only time will truly tell if it is true or not
