The FFXII demo came out and it camae out swinging. A lot of new things to take in but one of the most straight in your face changes is the battle system. For some one who plays FFXI, its almost like playing online to the fullest since of the word... minus people trying to hit on you (if your playing in the Second mission) or people saying your gear looks gimped ( if your playing in the first mission.) Its practicly all there, free roam, monsters FOV, Chaining monsters, getting bonus, you cant not say FFXI had an influence on this game.
Moving on, some of the changes i like (not neccessarily more than how it used to be) was the way summons are summoned and how they are controlled.... or lack there off. While during the second mission i didnt even realize that the summon can evok its own speicial but it sure enough did, Poor bomb never had a chance... I've yet to go back and see the first mission's esper summon special, which i will do when i get home. Another change is how the monsters respawn. You no longer have to leave the "zone" and come back for monsters to respawn. I think this adds to the notion that monsters actually inhabit a certain area and are not prone to genocide everytime i player needs to level up.
One thing not takin from FFXI (but would be cool if it was implemented) is that monsters attack each other based on traits and disposition. In other words, In the first mission, the T-rex attacks the mandragoras simply becuase it dosent like them. Having that level of detail as far as Monster family relationships is pretty good. I bet there will be some instances were luring monster a to monster b just to get past super power leveled monster a will be critical to some missions.
If you wanna talk about graphics, i say i dont care, i loved the game and will love the release. The demo's graphics werent all that sharp but it was just a demo, alot of fine tuning and subtle graphic changes get applied to the game near its completion. ^_^!Need less to say that didnt stop me from trying to see what color underwear Ashe had on*^.^*....
