    For Upcoming Dragon Quest VIII Info...

    It's actually very cool, and updated (unlike most official sites) OFTEN! And you can get free stuff if you're fairly active. Enjoy! BTW, the demo is out in stores- you can usually grab it with a preorder. I have to say, I'm now very excited about a game I knew very little about just a few days ago.

    it will be awesome ^^ I played the japanese version for a bit, if only I could read it i'd still be playing it now.

      Characters look a little too DBZish, that doesn't hinder game play does it?

        well Toriyama Akira has always been the series' artist & designer :D of couse it will look like DBZ.

          Keep in mind the guy did Chrono Trigger as well... one of the greatest games of all time? You can definitely pick out your Crono & Marle features on the hero and one of the female characters. King Trode even resembles Ozzie. I think it's cool.

            I cant wait for this to come out i'm so excited. I was wodering though about the character sesigner, does anyone knoe if he did crono trigger too, because those characters also look DBZish.

                    ok I got my sample DQ8 today and tried it out a bit. The Disc comes with 2 mode: story mode where you can walk around talk to people and see a few cutscenes, and battle mode where you're put into a world map to run around kill monsters. No safe, no real story I think.

                    And the worst thing is... they translated all magic names!!! wtf.
                    hoimi becomes miniheal
                    behoimi becomes medheal
                    bagi -> swoosh
                    mera = minifireball

                    or something like that... They seriously should have kept the magic the way they were -.-
