Radiata Stories

I've been looking foward to this game for quite a while now, but I never had the chance to give it a try. I was wondering if anyone has played the game yet ? If so, what are your comments about it ? Any feedback would be appreciated. I want a sincere opinion before I go buy the game. I'd rent it, buy it's nowhere to be found where I live. >_<

It looks good, and I want to play it, but I havn't beaten Star Ocean 3, Disgea, Phantom Brave, MikaiKingdom yet so.

If you liked SO3 then you'll prob. like Radiata Stories. It's made by Tri-Ace and Square Enix.

Well I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. Now everyone has different likes and dislikes about RPG's but one of my HUGE likes is the storyline. In this game the story line is flat. It just didn't engage me and make me want to see what happened next. Same for the characters, I just didn't get to know them and like them as much as in some other RPG's. The graphics were sweet and the music was decent. The battle system was meh. I know my responses are a bit slower than usual because of my age but even my son commented on the controls. But the nice little add-in of recruitment (i.e. Suikoden) was the big draw for me. Since I Suikoden that is what made me buy it, now I wish I had waited until it had been out a while and bought it used for 1/2 the price.

Heh, you give it a better rating then I would. Seriously, the only thing that makes this game worth playing is wanting to hear the next assholeish thing that comes out of Jack's mouth. I got really f***ing sick of running around that town over and over again to collect the characters to the point I just said screw it and finished the game.

The endings are really too goddam short also.........pissed me off.

Wow it was that bad? I expected something better from the makers of FF and SO...

The gameplay is fun, there are lots of sidequest and characters. But you never really connect with the story, and it "feels" short if you don't bother with the "collect them all" syndrome.

It's a game that you can spend 60hrs and feel empty. So give and take. Give me SO3 to Raditiata anyday. As much as I like my pick of characters, there's just nothing really going on to do with your characters.
