I'm getting both, or at least im planning on getting both since both have greate games that i want to play. Speaking of the X360 in this case, has a good protion of top rated games either at launch or within 2 months of it. One of its RPG's im looking forward to is eM-eNCHANT arM (yeah thats how its spelled). As for the price, whether it is a lot of money or not depends on the person which may or may not be directly related to the fact if they can "afford" it or not (in the sense of how much they make in a period of time). There are some rich people who think 400 USD is alot of money to spend believe it or not~

lol challenge it if you want to macht. i stated that some of us ( that would be me ) can easily afford it on nothing more the part of a days pay. its that some of use choose not to for a few reasons. such as the stupidly outragous cost, an the lack of decent games. i know myself that i wait because there is next to no RPG's released months, even yrs after a release.

I'm perfectly aware of what you were trying to state which is why I stated that the PS3 isn't solely restricted to just PS3 games, it has the entire previous archives of PS1 and PS2 games it can use. Getting it early just means, I'm one of first group (feeling like a big man with a big ego drives that, weather it's true or not), I get to consoldate the consoles use again down to 1 while still getting to play the games I love from the previous consoles, and I get the luxury of bragging about it to those deciding to wait.

If you want to wait that's perfectly fine, but trying to down others for not going with that same decision is just to self righteous. It's a necessity that someone buys them early, otherwise demand can not be measured right. If they get a bad measure on demand then they are going to make bad sale decisions, for example cut production and then if demand suddenly jumps they just cut production now having to get it going again it's just going to force the price to remain higher for a lengthier time.

So be greatful there's a massive influx of people that's willing to buy the product at such a price the more that do buy the better the chance it's price will drop faster.

I know TBoTB already said for me but I'll repeat if you really want to take it down an ugly route without a civil discussion then take it to PMs.

the 360 looks so awesome, but I do have my reservations about it. If it is anything like when PS2 and XBox first came out, my vote is I'll wait for PS3, since I never seem to play my XBox anymore, other than to watch movies.

The only games i like in the launch lineup is quake 4 and ffxi and i can play both on computer.

No the term e-penis is commonly used on the internet forums. Terms such as his are not. E-penis is another way to say "internet ego". The term is used for both male and females.

while yes e-pinus is a common term. by you writing. Depending On my income I'll get the xbox360 after the holiday season, when all the huss and fuss is over and the 299 price tag is actually buyable and 3rd party acessories will beat M$ prices(assuming M$'s little licencing barricade isn't that bad).

It's not really that expensive, and even sellable back to games stores. Heck if it has a craptacular launch senerio, you might even be able buy a use system in spring when the ps3 hype begins.

Now ps3 I might consider the bundle $500 or whatever they will charge. Those launch titles I like a lot better.

Bundle prices for xmas is nothing new, PS2 was just as bad. Some people that have the money can endulges themselves, the "it's always cheaper if you wait attitude" always irks me, because times is of the essence. It's like buying day old bread. It's editable, and decently healthy, but not exactly wanted if you can afford better.

Correct if the price drops just a few days after you are waiting that is annoying. That isn't the case though if your among the first buying group. The price drops usually after they've reached that break-even point and demand starts to drop. So if you are among the first you'll have it for those months without the price really changing on you.

Now if you choose to wait and wait, then yes you might as well wait it out till the price drops because it'll have a good chance that it might end up dropping a little after you buy. That problem is just a result of waiting to long, you then paid the first demand groups price but in the time of around the second demand group will start buying. It's buying the bread that's just past it's freshest point but price hasn't been adjusted yet, so it's better then day old but not as good as just baked.

Usually they announce an upcoming price drop sometimes months in advance. If you really want to wait, then wait to see when they'll say the price is going to drop. Even if you buy it and they announce an impending price drop, it usually wont happen for a while, so you got an extra cpl months out of it. What sucks iswhen you dont know that a price drop is coming, you buy it and the next day the price drop takes effect.

I seem to recall them talking about the last ps2 price drop atleast a month beforehand. As for the previous price drops, it was before I really payed attention and looked around places like this for info, so I didnt know then either.

And if, for example, if you wanted to buy a PSP3, and it's current price was 399, and they announced a price cut on the Xbox360 in 2 weeks, I'd hold off that PSP3 purchase for a couple weeks too...

One company cutting is almost a guarantee every other one will as well. Except nintendo, because they go so damn low the other companies can't keep up.
