I don't know what part of the country you live in but if its anywhere cold make sure you take along those warming packets. The kind the deer hunters put in their pockets to warm their hands. I also found a ski mask worked wonders. Two sleeping bags because the cold of the cement just seeps right through the one your in, more insulation is a must. But then again I'm old and arthritic so maybe that bothered me more than others. LOL

If you have good camping/backpacking gear, go with that. A tent, a sleeping pad, and a GOOD sleeping bag (rated at least down to 15 degrees). And, hell, build a campfire on their sidewalk, I'm sure they wont mind.

Just be careful where you plop down at. My son was close to the edge of the sidewalk and during his sleep he rolled over and his head was sticking a bit off the sidewalk. (K-Mart sidewalk outside the store with a parking lot) Well, I woke up when the street sweeper was coming down the edge of the sidewalk. I'm a bit slow when I wake up so I didn't notice until the street sweeper was about 5 feet away from my son's head! Thankfully he woke up as I was diving for him and pulled his head out of the way. All the other people were just standing there watching.....probably laying bets on whether he would wake up in time or not!! LOL
