"no matter where you go you are what you are playa
and you can try to change but that's just the top layer
man...you was who you was when you got here"
Actually what Cloud did at the end did resemble Omni Slash, aside from use of multiple swords. It was just redesigned for the movie is all... imo.
Wasn't very difficult to obtain in the game, just had to do the battle arena in Gold Saucer enough for the points to 'buy' it.
is it safe to say Aeris was "mother earth"? haha
Yes. In the movie she was basically the personification of the planet.
Does Tifa run a cell phone shop?
Shes a bartender in the game, an I'm guessing still is one in the movie since we first see her cleaning a glass.
When Vincent says, "Where is the phone shop?" I think he's just making a joke because earlier Cloud lost his phone, an when Marlene wanted to talk to Tifa she couldn't because neither of them had one....
That an maybe he decided he needs a phone so people can tell him when fights are goin' down an he won't be left out.... ;P imo
Anybody else notice all the badguys were using gunblades?
actually..if you know japanese cloud + tifa is doing a delivery shop kind of thing...when tifa picked up the phone talking to reno she was saying "hi strife delivery service what can do for you" etc etc... tho i can be wrong...could be cloud is doing the delivery shes still working @ the bar..who knows
I don't think Cloud ever actually died. Aeris had been contacting him through the lifestream throughout the movie, and since they didn't show a scene where they confirmed his death I don't see how we can jump to that conclusion so quickly.
The last abilitiy he used on Serphiroth seemed to be Knights of the Round style, but it definately wasn't Omnislash. Omnislash was a 17 hit combo as far as I remember, hard as hell to get too.
Actually Cloud did Omnislash I believe, except sephy threw it right back at him and parry all of the hits. Look closely when they faught on the falling rocks. Clouds blade went blue and went into the omnislash slashing style.
And yes, I think Cloud did sorta die, but resurected. His believed his "sin" needed an atonement of death, hinted in the Vincent conversation. That is why he woke up in the pure water with the infected children.
In Tifa's words, "Zuruzuruzuruzuruzuru~zuruzuruzuruzuruzuru."
I also liked the joke Aeries made, "It seems I've been called mother a lot latety."
i dont think aeris ever said shes been call mother alot lately...at the end when cloud said "mother?" she said "your calling mother again"? and i thought Zuruzuru phrase was originaly aeries o.o..tho i can be wron gagain >_>;; i havent play the game in years so i dont remember T_T
I think cloud did die, and was sent to pergatory (sp)... as resemblance by the white light. Also, GrandMom, I think it's because you're watching a ripped/re-encoded version of the movie, therefor when it is realased (or if you import it) you'll see it in much better quality.

It's ambigious, since in japanese it translates to, "Again!? How many times have I been called "mother"?" That's why it's a funny joke throughout the game and throughout AC.
And it was Tifa who calls cloud zuruzurzu most often in the game. Since it's hard to get an exact translation in NA localization, it wasn't as obvious. But it's mostly during Cloud's "doubt"fulness that he existed in Tifa's pass, and wallowing in his own dispair...which was a better part of the game I guess...

oops my bad i just went to watch AC again your right about the last one O_O my japanese still suxor i didnt understand some of what she said >_> my bad there
I was a little confused during the movie (probably cause of some fast subtitles at importiant parts and that i never played FFVII (the game wont work on my system)), the motorcycle and dragon scenes were realy cool, and cloud has one BADASS sword. And i liked how real everything looked.
the zuruzuru was translated into "drifting drifting again" on my version.
Double Post Edited:
and if you look closely cloud uses most of his swords from the game, I spotted the enhance sword, apocalypse and a few others i cant remember the names to

zuruzuru doesn't really have an exact translation that would satisfy it completely.
Drag, drift, it's all part of it I guess. It's a sound word, like bam, or sparkle.
Litterially it's the sound of friction when draging a heavy object around.
It is also used when someone can't decide, or is careless, on something or in Cloud's case, pessimistic, the self-pity kind. Unable to let go of his past as well.
I think most of the time calling someone a drag, is kinda zuruzuru.
Cloud in AC is his inability to trust in himself kinda like the "lay down and die" attitude, which is pretty much the better part of the game as well.
Translatators really did have a hard time trying to english-ize the massive zuruzuru-ton by Tifa, as nothing make grammatical sense. To simplify, Cloud is wallowing in his own dispair again.
It's kinda like Arcanum, done in the air, more flashy, and a better finish pose ^^.
Watching it a second time I realized Kadaij also called Aeries, "Mother" in the end =p
And FF7:Last Order is also something good to watch, as it expands the Cloud, Zack flashback, and a little of how Cloud got Zack's persona imprinted onto him.
Last Order changed a couple of things from the original FF7. They were minor, and done in the sense of action, but i was pretty peeved. For instance, where EXCEPT for midgar was there an expansive metal jungle like that? Also, when cloud was impaled by Sephiroth, i recall him lifting sephiroth by the sword and LAUNCHING him into the reactor. Effectively killing him, hence, the sephiroth we see in the Crator on disk 2. (ya know, in the pod and shit?)
I was impressed by the quality of the movie. I ejaculated no less than 5 times in 10 minutes. The usage of swords in the movie made me happy inside. Gave me this warm fuzzy feeling. And I like the way the characters were designed. They gave Tifa a warm, soft look to her face. Cloud also looked strongly realistically strong. Oh, what with dual wielding swords the way he did.
Um, if he was delivering things for 2 years, when did he have time to create a new fighting style. I mean, it's so radical, when did he have time to perfect the practice of fusing swords and wielding them as such, and when did he learn how to be so uber on a motorcycle?
How bout this, give us another movie explaining that >.> that would be hot.
I love you SE
Please forgive me
You can have my first born if in exchange you continue to please me in ways my girlfriend cant.
I even forgive you for FF8!
Reno and Rude had excellent comical relief. What with "yoto" (yo) being at the end of all of Reno's sentences. And Rude was refreshingly monotone. Oh yeah, when his glasses broke and he pulled out some new, identical glasses. That was comical.
Bike fights were awsome. From the beginning of the movie, i thought that cloud was gonna get pwnd the entire movie, but it was evident that even against all 3 of them, he could hold his own.
The forest fight was fucking pimp. The Movie was non stop-over the top action, with a story that left us die-hard fans pleased and fulfilled. For once, I dont have the urge to continue the story of FF7 in my own fanfict.
I think thats enough for now. I want Tetsuya Nomura to have my baby.
If we don't like something, collectively, if our hatred for it throbs like an abscess beneath every thread, does that mean that they're doing something right?

As hard as it may be, don't take this game or your characters too seriously. I promise you - the guys that really own your account don't.
