I recently decided, now that I'm making some decent money, and got some spare cash, that I'm gonna fill my long long long age old dream of getting a japanese PS2, and HDD. I used to own a JPN ps2, but never did get around to getting the HDD.
Wouldn't make much sense to buy one just to play FFXI on ps2 anymore tho, since I got the american ps2 version, but now I'm mainly getting the JPN ps2/hdd combo for the other titles that use it. The psbbn seems like a really cool application, and there are other online only games that use the HDD I really want. One that I already bought (for $5 off of ebay!) is Minna no golf online. I'm planning to probably get net de bomberman (bomberman online) and Pop'n Puzzle Battle ONLINE. Other than that, i can't think of much that use the HDD, besides certain games that use it to slow down loading times. I MIGHT try out nobunaga ambition online, cause I found it for only $20 now, but it would only be to try it. There's too much kanji in it, that I doubt I could enjoy it. I just wanna see if it plays cool, like FFXI.
Anyway, the point of this topic, is I'm hoping to find someone who knows anything about these titles I've mentioned! I wont be getting my PS2/HDD combo for at least another 2 weeks I think, and I'm trying to find out as much about the games as I can. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack, because not many americans have. However, i've been on this site a long time, and I know there used to be many FFXI PS2/HDD importers around, and I'm hoping there still is, and that they might've tried some of the other PS2/HDD only games. Thanks in advance, I'll be keeping my eye on this topic!
