"Namco vs. Capcom"

Although I'm still awaiting nothing other than Sammy vs. Capcom (which has probably been delayed for a long time, considering we haven't heard anything about it since it's first release announcement), Monolith Soft (developer of "Xenosaga") announced an interesting looking game today, "Namco. Vs. Capcom."

The latest title in the "Vs." series takes a massive change in direction, becoming a strategy RPG. Since it is a Vs. title however, I'd expect the main emphasis of the game to be vs. battles in SRPG fashion.

Namco claims that the game will boast over 200 characters from both developers, including characters from titles such as Soul Calibur, Tekken, Resident Evil, Ghouls and Ghosts, Xenosaga, the Tales series, Street Fighter, Klonoa, Darkstalkers, and Strider.

It has a choppy Anime Intro video that nevertheless is amusing to watch. Unfortunately, it is not likely it will be brought to United States because some of the characters were never even seen in the United States before like Valkyrie from Valkyrie no Bouken. My current Avatar is of one of the characters from the game.

Reiji's former gf D: I really wished it is released here, otherwise by the end of the year i like to import it and get something to play it with. Hopefully good translation guide online.

I wouldn't recommend getting it if you're not fluent in Japanese or can find an exceptional translation guide, it's extremely text and voice heavy, to the point of not being able to understand anything if you don't know Japanese.

Meh Kanji is just about the same as Chinese words since its copied from it anyway, so i can at least understand most of that. >_>

I have it. Really only a good game if you can deal with cheeze. Thats what I will leave it at heh. the Tales of XXXX characters that are in the game. Judas is the man.

Btw its NOT VS

Its Namco X Capcom

As in Namco Cross Capcom

As in a game made through the use of a Cross of Character between the Two Companies Games.

Its just a strat RPG that uses cheeze to put characters from Capcom and Namco games into the same game. The battle system sort of reminds of Valkryrie Profile in a way.
