Anyway, since we've gone a little off-topic, here's a quick update.

Squenix has pushed the FFXII release date back to Fiscal Year 2004. Which means we'll see the game hit Japan as early as April First 2004, or March 31st, 2005. :sweat:

Don't even begin to ask when it'll come to North America. Hopefully it won't be too bad of a wait.

here's the main character, his name is Vann.

looks like a mix between Zidane Tribal and Tidus. the character designs are a nice fresh breath from the previous designs.

the lead female's name is Ashe. Square Enix previously reported that FFXII will not follow the usual "love story" theme. i guess we'll have to see how it turns out ^^

The main character should wear some kind of badass armor not anymore of this sissy shit. Cecil had some cool armor and cloud had like semi armor going on.

Yeah, I know what you mean. At least Cloud had a shoulder pad! Come on, we want at least some kneepads on a lead character here! Tidus had some kind of gauntlet on, but that was just dumb, in my PoV.

the characters' outfits always match the style of the game's world. (except for Tidus, of course...but there was a reason for that )

From what we've seen, the world of FFXII is very tropical and organic, much like FFX's Spira or FFIX's Gaiea.

I am glad that not all the characters are humans.

I just checked out the pic of the hero, and noticed the Bangaa behind him (FFTA). Any information on the gameplay? Will the battle system be like FFT/A, cause I've wanted to see a nice game like that with those graphics. Should be fun!
