Lucas was responsible for himself and his work. I think some people gave him too much credit. Yes, he was a brilliant director, in that he was able to find extra-ordinary talents to work for him, but he was a terrible writer. I'll acknowledge and give him credit for the first 3 SW movies. I was just really sorely disappointed with the next 3 and am hoping they get someone else to work on the planned seventh.

you guys do realize there's an entire expanded universe out there which fucks up the Star Wars universe thousands of years into the past, and future, and also has characters from the main series going off on random side quests, right...?
