Also, I'm getting more interested in studying Chinese lately (I blame Feba for it), and I'm actually starting to understand it. Not that long ago I just heard static whenever someone spoke the language.

Various responses to a case where a Japanese woman on a long-distance bus needed to use the restroom, but due to the language barrier was unable to communicate this to the driver, and wound up pissing in a trash bucket at the back of the bus:

"Yeah yeah yeah, you should've just pretended to be dead."

"...Japanese people can't write WC?"

After a reply which essentially states 'us Taiwanese are human shit', a reply in English: "Who let the dogs out? Who? Who?? Who??? No no Lucky woof my dear, go back to your cage!"

"So from now on, whenever Japanese, Korean, American girls come up asking for directions, we should just fuck her, and later on say 'Oh, I didn't understand what she was saying, I thought she wanted my cock.' That about right?"

"He thinks the Diaoyutai islands belong to Taiwan."

Ray, it's pretty fun if you enjoy the language itself; it obviously doesn't have the huge multimedia package that Japanese comes with, but there are some very interesting parts of the language itself, and personally I just get a kick out of the whole "Hey, I speak Chinese" factor. Also helps to dispel the weeaboo aura, and show that you really are in it for the language.

Not to say there isn't a ton of anime/manga stuff translated into Chinese, just that it doesn't usually start out here. I can recommend a handful of bands I've come to like if you're interested; although there's Taiwanese in there too. If you've got any questions, always feel free to ask
