I've gained 1.5 inches on my arms, 2 inches on my chest and 2 inches on my legs all without gaining a pound. Progress feels good. It's also nice to see abs again for the first time in a few years. I forgot how much I missed them.
The size of your muscles can vary based on water content, so you shouldn't pin too much of your self-esteem on that, but those strength gains look good. I've been on a ketogenic diet, and this morning I did my first fasted workout, so I'm feeling pretty good, myself.
Alright: supplements. If you take them, what are you taking? I'm counting anything beyond typical food and drink.
Because I'm on the ketogenic diet, most of my energy needs comes straight from fat cells. With carbohydrates around, these pathways are usually closed, but since they're open I'm using supplements to facilitate their usage as much as possible. I'm taking two different supplements: Top Secret's L-Carnitine Plus, and Genomyx's Decimate. The big three ingredients are L-Carnitine, Raspberry Ketones, and Alpha-Yohimbine. Decimate does contain a few others, such as green coffee extract for Cholinergic Acid, Forskolin, and Capsicum.
For the first month of my ketogenic diet I lost only ten pounds, but I've been losing five pounds a week since I've begun my weight-loss crunch. The supplements appear to be working extremely well, and I'm considering doubling the dosages for the month of December.
found out the DDR machine here is significantly cheaper than I thought (essentially, only 2/3rds of the price, which adds the fuck up), so once I can get my hands on some good track pant type stuff, I'm gonna try to get in the habit of doing that, often. About 22 cents a song, which is pretty good; pretty much half to a quarter of the rates of a lot of American machines, and also better than Japanese arcades (unless it's double credit Tuesday. I miss double credit Tuesday so bad).
Also, there are still arcades here, so haha fuck you.
