Seems silly, but combine it with Fate Foretold from Theros

When Fate Foretold enters the battlefield, draw a card.
When the enchanted creature dies, draw a card.

If Fate Foretold is the only enchantment in your deck, this could be a really potent combination. There might be other enchantments that have cool come-into-play abilities too, I haven't looked past just blue. Also note that you can play Fate Foretold on your opponent's creature, so there's no chance of someone getting a 2-for-1 by fizzling Fate Foretold by killing the creature first.

For three mana it is indeed very strong, but what sort of deck would play it? Cipher aggro, maybe?

Uh, no. It's an enchantment, so if you have no other enchantments in play it bounces itself. It just seems like an overly convoluted upkeep cost to me, but then it's blue so there's probably plenty of bullshit it can do with that mechanic, because it's fucking Blue.

I hate Blue is what I'm getting at.

As Cid pointed out, it returns itself if no other enchantments.

Gah, I did indeed miss the fact the drake is an enchantment creature. Boo, Wizards of the Coast!

And yes, Mal's sense of what's good sucks. Daring Thief is interesting if you have something that bounces itself back to hand or similar and a useful way to tap it without attacking (exchange a Rainbow Vale, maybe? Or of course Undiscovered Paradise (edit: fixed name because senility)).

Battlefield Thaumaturge blows. Who relies on a passive effect from an X/1 creature? His Heroic ability is laughably useless unless there's a card with Strive (1) where his ability would amount to a "free" extra target on him, so you could at least get something useful in the process of cancelling out another spell.

Sorry, but as a long time MtG player who owns a full set of power 9, these janky parlour tricks don't impress me at all. Actually my suggestion of Daring Thief + Undiscovered Paradise is way better than Master of Waves. I get to steal your land. Every turn. Have a nice day.

Edit: Daring Thief seems hilarious with Aura of Dominion.

2/1 Enchantment Human Soldier that gives you hexproof. There's your red hoser right there (along with brave the elements). Fun stuff :D

EDIT: You can't jack other people's lands with Daring Thief unless you have a way to animate theirs. It specifically says nonland permanent that you control with something that shares a type that they own.

Hm, true, even animation effect won't do it unless you're using some sort of text blanker (and I don't think there are any land animation effects that change the card type, are there?). Ah, well. Can run Standard with Daring Thief and Riptide Chimera (hey, finally a use for it? lol), though you'd still need a safe way to tap the thief without attacking, which is maybe actually the hardest part in standard without something like Aura of Dominion.

Bearer of Heavens is a neat thing in a reainimation deck.
